  • Finance and Legal Games to Teach

    Funded Aug 31, 2022

Thank you so much for all of your support. My class and myself are greatly appreciative of all of your contributions. We have been able to take the time and the effort to identify the best way to use the resources you provided to us. It is amazing the impact your donation has able to have on the way that this course has run. You really get to see the impact donors like you make on the understanding of such dense and difficult contents covered in a high school setting, which can be a challenge all on its own.”

  • Snacks for Mock Trial Kids

    Funded Feb 2, 2022

This has had somehow the most impact on my students, in ways I did not expect. What can I say, kids love snack, especially when they're hungry. I have become the go-to teacher for all of my students when they are feeling a little hungry and it's great to be able to provide that sustenance to students that are not able to feel themselves. We are really appreciative of all that you have contributed and hope that you will do the same in the future, when we're seeking more snacks for after-school-programs. Thank you!”

  • Kids Fought the Law, Who Won?

    Funded Jan 1, 2022

You have been able to make the learning my students take part in happen flawlessly. They will now be engaged in the content more effectively and be able to understand the content they are covering.

Using a text where students have the ability to see themselves in the situation is so important to their understanding. Thank you for everything you have done. They know that this comes from your good will and helpful attitudes and they will carry that with them into the future with everything that they do.”

  • Snack for After School

    Funded Jan 1, 2022

The excitement from my students today as they came to the club was very gratifying. They were excited to take part in their extracurricular activity, but honest, I think they were more excited about the snacks. I had students thanking me repeatedly and I kept telling them that I was not to thank, but it was you the donators. So from my students, the mock trial team, thank you. I hope these snacks last through the season. Though, they think they do not stand a chance at this rate. Yay for learning & yay for treats.”

  • Landmark Cases in Our Library

    Funded Jan 27, 2021

Thank you so much for the opportunity to bring content that is easily digestible for my students to the classroom. This has been an unprecedented year filled with unprecedented hurdles and challenges. Many of my students have yet to step foot in my classroom and have not been able to hold these physical books in their hands.

Fortunately, I have been able to adapt to trying times and take the content and present it in a way that my students have been able to experience the content of Supreme Court Cases and Issues, digitally in this remote learning world.

While reading in my "classroom" may not look the same as it did in previous years, it is still allowing students to learn and grow from the content.”

  • Legal Drama for the Law Class

    Funded Feb 5, 2020

My kids love to read books ... or at least I think they do. They certainly enjoying these, we were able to get a book, "The Innocent Man" by John Grisham, which is also a documentary on Netflix, so I could guarantee that the kids were excited for this story. While it wasn't want we had originally planned for, it is still something that can be used to educate students on the procedures behind investigating, legal procedures, and other practices in the legal system. We also appreciate listening to the book if need be, so thank you so much!”

I would like for my students to be researchers and be able to more effectively find and understand the content they are learning about. With these Chromebooks, my students will be able to use technology in their everyday learning. Currently, I am unable to effectively allow for students who live in a twenty-first century world, to learn as if they do. The students will be able to use technology in the classroom to not only enhance their ability to learn content, but express their learning as well. My students need outlets for their understanding that more effectively mirror their everyday life and everyday technological use.
