  • What We Need To Succeed

    Funded Aug 13, 2023

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! My students absolutely love being able to print labels for our reading bins, journals, and much more. It is helping them feel confident in their organizational skills. The labeled reading bins help with the flow of our reading area. The students are able to choose their reading bin and grab a seat on our new cozy bean bags or reading rug.

This has made my students extremely motivated to read more often and to not feel discouraged while looking for a good book. Not to mention all the fun reading incentives they are working towards. Thank you again for making a difference in the daily life of my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Davidson

  • Ditch the Paper

    Funded Nov 5, 2022

We use our Soft Start every morning when the kids first get to the classroom. We believe it helps us get in a creative mindset for the rest of the day. As a class we have improved tremendously on our team building skills. We are able to work in a group without getting upset even if there are differences.

My Students were absolutely thrilled to receive our Soft Start materials. It puts a huge smile on my face to see them rushing to class in the morning ready to start their day!

In the next couple of months I would love to incorporate our Soft Start materials with a research project. What I mean by this is that I would like for them to create something out of our Soft Start materials that goes along side of their self-lead research. I believe this will really grab their attention and motivate them to want to do future projects.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Davidson

  • Let's Get Unplugged

    Funded Feb 7, 2022

Thank you so much! We are currently using our learning materials for an end of the year review and activities. The students absolutely loved using them for state testing reviews, indoor recess, and during small group.

When all of our project boxes were delivered the students lost their minds.... but in a good way! They were so excited to rip them open. They were even more excited to see all the learning games.

With the new school year right around the corner, I plan on using my materials weekly. The writing journal/prompt will be using daily and the learning games will be used weekly depending on what skill we are working on.

Again, I can not thank you enough for your generous donation to my students and my future students. You make a difference.”

  • We are Busy Bodies Needing a Rug

    Funded Jan 25, 2018

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for funding our "Busy Bodies Needing a Rug" class rug. This rug is a huge hit in our classroom. It brings a warm welcome feeling to the room. One activity we are doing is practicing to place our spelling words in alphabetical order. This really has helped my visual learners when teaching ABC order. Another way we use the rug is for a seating chart. This has helped tremendously with classroom management. My students have their very own space to learn and are active listeners while I am teaching. Thank you again for donating to our class rug. You are the best supportive parents/donors!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Davidson

Having a classroom rug will help tremendously with our lessons. In first grade having your own personal space is serious business. A classroom rug will allow my students to have a sense of ownership in a group setting. This will eliminate arguing and invading another person's space. It is important for a student to feel comfortable so they are able to focus on learning. This rug will also provide us with a literacy center. For example, students could match sounds with the correct letter of the alphabet. Another activity my students could use with this rug is putting their spelling words in ABC order. We could really benefit from this rug being in our classroom. It would help academically and socially. Thank you for supporting my students!
