  The students were SUPER excited when the fitness trackers arrived. The students were so amazed they had two different color bands for the trackers. I could hear the students constantly asking each other and even me how many steps do you have?

  Students will use the data from the trackers to complete frequency tables, bar graph, dot plots and stem and leaf from data collected on a class assignment. Students are also communicating how they use their trackers to set alarm, sync it to their phones and monitor sleep. Great asset to the students and our classroom activities.”

• I Pull Up

  Funded May 4, 2021

  The students were super excited when they saw the wagon, AKA the double decker wagon. The wagon has been a big help for me and the students. We have a small field day between two classes and the wagon saved us. Several male scholars were assigned the job of equipment operators, who were responsible for checking out and returning field day equipment. They used the wagon to go to the gym and load up the heavy tug of war rope, bases, balls and scooters. In addition to that, the wagon was used by me to transport from my car to the building the water and snacks for the students. The Double Decker wagon is a great addition to our classroom.”

• Karaoke Machine to Enhance Learning

  Funded May 28, 2021

  The karaoke machine has been an added plus to my classroom. The students are always excited and ready to have fun learning in math and science. The features the students enjoyed the most about the karaoke machine are the microphones and the various colors from the machine. We use both microphones to have competition such as fast facts (multiplication facts) and vocabulary war (science vocabulary words). However, students also enjoy when I use the Bluetooth feature and we listen to music while outside during activities. We definitely love this added resource to our classroom.”

• Equity Using STEM/STEAM and Books

  Thank you for supporting my students and my educational vision for the classroom. When the students hear the intercom and the receptionist states you have packages in the office the students scream with excitement. "What are we getting for the class?" one student yelled.

  The Bot Maze was used as one of four stations. Scholars were divided into a team of four and worked on a science concept. The four stations were Force and Motion, Electricity, Magnets and of course The Bot Maze. The Bot Maze was the favorite. Each group did something different with their maze. The students were able to use their creativity at that station. I was very satisfied that at the end of the year the students finally get to work in a group and complete the task as a team. This was the perfect resource to keep students engaged and having fun at the end of very different year.”
