  • Upcycling Our Classroom PCs

    Funded Mar 27, 2025

Thank you so much for helping my students learn about the parts and assembly of a personal computer! With the resources that you have helped provide for my classroom, my students will have the opportunity to develop a new toolbox and skillset which they can employ in their lives. Without your help, this would have been a much more challenging endeavor. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Gianniny

  • Support Our STEM Library

    Funded Dec 25, 2023

Thank you so much for helping me put together this STEM library in our technology classroom. It is just the beginning, but we have a great collection of books and my students have already shown great interest in them.

I already have students checking out books and taking them home! We have a variety of music, architecture and engineering, art, cooking, coding, language, science, reference, and fiction and more for the kids to choose from, so all interests are more or less covered.

A great big thank you on this project to my friend, who I'll leave anonymous, as he was a major contributor to our library both with Donors Choose and also in his effort to send us even more books than we had bargained for. Thank you all very much!”

    With gratitude,

  • Making Music With Teenage Engineering

    Funded Mar 27, 2024

Thank you for your generous donations to our project! My students and I are excited to start making music with these new audio controllers. These little suckers will allow us to sample audio from our environment, create patterns, beats, and sequences, and also collaborate on musical productions. We can't wait to show you the cool things we're gonna get into.”

  • Audio I/O

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you very much for helping us reach this goal. This project will give us brand new headphones for the classroom, a device that will let us sync high quality video and audio together when making A/V presentations, and a keyboard and case that has some portability, so we can have a more flexible workflow than in the past. Thanks so much!”

  • 3D Design & Print Lab

    Funded Dec 4, 2019

Thank you so much for helping us to get ahold of this 3D printing technology. We have had fun using it in class to experiment and play with 3D design and construction techniques. We have been printing parts for our projects and coming up with solutions for everyday challenges in the classroom.

The kids get really excited every time we have the opportunity to take on a new 3D project, and when the printer is running, they are mesmerized. It has been a lot of fun and they have been learning a lot.

Without your help, this likely would not have been something that we would have been able to get ahold of. Thank you very much for your support! We are grateful.”

  • Working Out the Workstation

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you so much for helping us to obtain the components that we needed to build this powerhouse workstation! This machine has allowed us to a variety of high-processing power tasks, including video editing, 3D CAD production, and Virtual Reality presentations. My students and I worked together to learn to build the machine, and then we executed the process. Now the workstation lives in our technology lab and we use it regularly for our more demanding digital projects. Thank you again for helping us to put this incredibly useful machine to the test! We are grateful to you.”

  • Lighting Up The Studio

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

Thank you very much for helping us to procure this photo lighting equipment! These strobes have been a game changer! We have used them for Yearbook photos, Holiday and special events, green screen projects, and photos for student ID cards. The students have assisted on many of these photo projects and in some cases, they have taken the lead. Without your help, our students would not have had this opportunity. It is exciting every time we edit and process each batch of photos because these lights have really allowed us to do quite a professional job! Thank you again for your gracious support!”

  • Powering Portable Innovation!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

I am grateful for your contribution to our classroom, my professional needs, and my students' success! Without your support, this project may not have been funded.

This portable workstation will give my students and I the ability to take our tech on the road and work on intensive coding, robotics, and more while we're out and about in the community or at a specific learning destination.

Thank you again for helping us access this new tool and powerful addition to our educational arsenal!”

  • We Make the Music! ...with a Digital Audio Workstation

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Thank you so much for your donations to this project! I am so excited to make music with my students using this new music workstation! I cannot express how much I look forward to seeing my students learn to make music directly on the interface rather than working through a computer or software application. This will give them an opportunity to develop a true understanding of how to manipulate sound and develop audio compositions that are pleasing.

Thank you again so much for this - we are grateful!”

I teach technology at a middle school in downtown Brooklyn, NY. The students who attend our school have all been classified as having "emotional disturbance" or "autism" and generally thrive in a setting with a great deal of structure and routine. My objective is to empower my students to see the opportunities that they are all capable of making for themselves. I also hope to provide the tools that my students need to be as independently successful in areas that are motivating to them. We work to our strengths and build upon our weaknesses to better prepare ourselves for an independent and self-reliant, albeit collaborative future.
