My classroom is made up of exceptional students who have a variety of disabilities. The ages range from 8 -13 with varying learning levels ranging from PK - 4th grade. All of my students are struggling readers or non-readers. My students share 1 chromebook for remedial reading and math programs. Having computer centers will help my students gain valuable reading and comprehension skills while teaching them to be independent learners. For my non-readers, audio books will open new experiences for them. Remedial math programs will be more effective helping my students to be come successfully, independent young adults.
Because of the varying academic levels of my students, individualized instruction is necessary. During center time the students will be able to work independently on computers doing targeted remedial math and reading lessons.
