  • Wiggly Workers!

    Funded Nov 30, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donation of wobble stools to my classroom. My students have loved having additional flexibility in seating within our classroom. We use them primarily around our small group table where we work together during our reading and math times.

I wish you could have seen the students faces when we we able to unbox our materials. Their look of excitement and wonder was amazing! They LOVED seeing the vibrant colors. They especially loved that the seats were adjustable so it could accommodate the various heights we have in class.

Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving to our classroom. Your generosity is so appreciated.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ellison

  • Organization Station!

    Funded Jun 20, 2023

Words do not even begin to describe the gratefulness we are to have our materials from the "Organization Station" you helped to fund! We are lucky to have the option to incorporated flexible seating in our classroom. The bookcase and baskets purchased by this project allows students to have a place to store their daily materials because we no longer have traditional desks in our classroom. The baskets are portable, easy to maintain, and functional for the students. They just grab them from their cubby and head to their seat to begin their day! The students have truly enjoyed having them and a cubby to call their own. Thank you again for helping this project come to life.”

  • Books and Supplies--OH MY!

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you so much for your donations. My students and I have enjoyed reading the books and we have definitely made good use of the supplies. The books have helped my students with their mental and emotional well being, especially in this world we are currently living in. Many of the books focused on kindness, how to control our anger, taking care of ourselves, and being good friends. As third graders, these skills are sometimes hard to understand and cope with. The books helped them to see other kids experiencing the same things as them and helped them to find more ways to adapt.

The supplies were also extremely helpful. Many of my students can not afford to purchase supplies and the donations helped to provide them with needed supplies. The pandemic caused many families to experience financial hardship and unfortunately having all necessary supplies for school wasn't a main focus. Thank you for giving my students relief of knowing that their supplies were there and ready to use when they needed.

Again, I can't thank you enough for your help to make this school year successful. It truly does take a village to raise children. Thank you for being part of our village.”

  • Board Games for the Win!

    Funded Oct 18, 2019

Words can't begin to describe how appreciative my class and I are for your donation to our "Board Games for the Win" project! We love pulling them out to help us with our math facts and using them during recess when the weather is just too cold or rainy.

The look on my students' faces when we received the box was priceless. They loved helping to unpack the box and seeing what new games had arrived. They couldn't wait to open them up and get to playing.

We will continue to use them in the classroom to help enhance our learning as well as the all important play time. Again, thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ellison

  • Supply Upgrade!

    Funded Oct 26, 2019

Thank you so much for the generosity you have shown to my students and myself. We are using our new supplies in the classroom already! The students love using them for our writing assignments, checking over their work with a new pen, and having the opportunity to have a portable whiteboard.

The look on my students' eyes when I unpacked all of the materials is one that is hard to describe. They could not believe that someone would be willing to share with them through a donation. They absolutely loved helping me set the materials out so that they could use them.

We will continue to put these supplies to good use throughout the school year. Thank you again for making this possible for my students!”

    With gratitude,

  • Supply Upgrade!

    Funded Dec 19, 2018

Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom! We have LOVED having the extra supplies! The arrival of the box of goodies was so exciting for my kiddos. We had to stop what we were doing in class and open it right then!

The students are able to use the materials that we have received to continue with our learning! it is not always guaranteed that a student will show up in class with the needed school supplies to help them be successful. Your generous donation will help ensure that every student has the opportunity to have the same supplies as everyone else!

Again, thank you for sponsoring our class! I know that you could have spent your money on a number of other things, but we appreciate you spending it on us!”

  • Wiggling Workers!

    Funded Nov 27, 2018

Thank you so much for your contribution to our classroom! We have LOVED having the different seating options in our classroom. The arrival of the box of goodies was so exciting for my kiddos. We had to stop what we were doing in class and open it right then!

The students are able to grab a pillow, wiggle cushion, or a lap desk and move around the room. This allows them the opportunity to be flexible in where they work and learn. They are able to be comfortable while working in groups or while working independently.

Again, thank you for sponsoring our class! I know that you could have spent your money on a number of other things, but we appreciate you spending it on us!”

  • Building School Culture and Literacy With the Ron Clark Academy!

    Funded May 29, 2018

I can't begin to tell you the impact visiting the Ron Clark Academy was for me. To know and see that education like that exists is astounding. I learned so many valuable tools on classroom management, how to engage my students more, and how to keep myself inspired as an educator.

There were so many takeaways from this professional development that it is hard to pinpoint one that had more of an impact because they were all so WONDERFUL. I was able to witness classroom levels being taught, see students being engaged, and I was even "slide certified" at the end of the day. The academy has a two story slide built in the middle of their atrium and it is a reminder that the easy way to do things would be to take the stairs but why take the easy way? Why be the boring teacher? Take the slide and take the risks!

I have already begun using my new knowledge in the classroom. I am working on room transformations to help spice up our learning environment and to help build excitement and engagement by transporting the students to a specific place or time.

Again, words can not express how thankful I was and am for the opportunity to have been able to visit such an amazing institution as the Ron Clark Academy. Thank you so much for your generous support!”

  • Markers for Everyone!

    Funded Jan 25, 2018

The look of sheer joy on my students faces when they saw our box delivered was one I wish I could have captured on film. They were so excited to rip the tape and see our new classroom materials.

Words can not express how thankful we are for our new markers! We love being able to use them in our writing center, in art time, and to help check our work. The smelly markers always make things better!

You'll notice the kiddos using them for their writing and in a special testing party our team threw before we took our state standardized test. We plan to continue using them during our upcoming Inventor Unit and Fair as well as through various art projects we have coming up!

Again, thank you for making this teacher's heart happy!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ellison

Having additional Chromebooks in our classroom will help my students to have access to technology that they normally would not have. All students want to have some sort of technology in their hands to make learning much more enjoyable and adding to our small number of devices we already have will be a tremendous help. The use of the Chromebooks will help my students become publishers, creators, innovators, and explorers. They will be able to publish their own pieces of writing, create their own material, and explore the world around them. All of this can be done through one simple device! We live in a technology driven world, and any interaction that my students can have with technology will only prepare them for the world beyond my classroom door.
