My math classroom is flipped blended learning environment! No, I'm not literally doing summersaults and cartwheels across my room (most days), but the processes of lecture and practice of math material are flipped. I film videos of myself teaching each math lesson and students watch these videos for homework. When they come in class, they don't have to listen to me lecture. Instead, we have tons of class time available to collaborate and problem solve, often by way of technology. I am asking for more chromebooks to assist in my blended learning endeavor. Student choice in the types of activities they engage in as well as how and where they work is an important piece of our flipped classroom. Bouncy ball chairs would be a perfect addition to flexible seating options my classroom has to offer.
