Thank you so much for the donations this year. Because of you, I was able to order many second grade items to enhance my teaching this year. The items that I have purchased included digital and printable resources, assessments, and hands on activities that get the kids up and moving around the classroom. This past year has been difficult in many different ways for teachers and students alike. Because of your donations, I was also able to get resources that can remediate as well as challenge my students academically. Thank you again for your generosity. It is really appreciated!"”

I teach second grade in a low income/ high poverty school district. I teach all of the core content in a self contained classroom. My goal is to utilize best practices in my classroom that positively impacts students by providing motivations to learn and promoting success. I want to help my students develop thinking and problem-solving skills through integration and active learning. We can learn a lot from each other by listening and sharing ideas. My goal is to create a classroom with a balanced curriculum to meet the individual student needs and provide active learning opportunities. Having a classroom that there is a joyful feeling of purposeful movement, industrious thinking and a vibrant atmosphere where students are active participants in their own learning.
