More Literacy in the Classroom!
Funded Oct 2, 2017Thank you so much for your support in my kindergarten classroom. The children are having fun while learning their letters, sounds, sight words, and rhymes. It is amazing to see the connections they are making and the smiles on their faces while they do it. It fills my heart to see them choose these games to play during centers and makes me proud as a teacher to watch them independently play and understand the concepts we are studying. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and the games are being put to good use everyday, and will be played for years to come! Thank you again for all that you do!”

This classroom project was brought to life by Sergey Brin Family Foundation and 3 other donors.Tablets for 21st Century Learners
Funded Apr 27, 2016Wow! I am so thrilled to be able to bring the 21st century into my classroom with our new kindle fires. The students are able to use the tablets daily in their learning. With our new tablets I am able to incorporate technology into the classroom on a new level where my students can explore different educational websites and be able to play our favorite literacy and math games. I am blown away by how much they are learning and I am so thankful for all of you in helping bring media into our classroom!
We enjoy using the tablets for researching different topics in our curriculum. Most recently, we learned about frogs and salmon and the tablets were so useful to look up actual images and show videos of the life cycle of these two animals. As a teacher it was incredible to see how engage the students were and how excited it made them feel to be able to research a topic they found interesting.
Thank you so much for your generous donation, we greatly appreciate it!!!!!”

Creating an Effective Classroom!
Funded Jun 4, 2015I am so overwhelmed by the amount of support I have for my classroom. The behavior management kit came right in time for the new school year. We have incorporated all of the materials into our classroom. We start each day by singing a good morning song and listening to our favorite days of the week song on the CD and we end the day with our favorite goodbye songs.
The kids enjoyed adding their own touch to the classroom by hanging up the print enriched stickers and helping the choice areas become more organized with pictures. Our classroom is certainly more tidy!
By giving us this kit, we have started the year off right and with our behavior management in place, we have more access to learning and discovering the love of school and reading! I am so excited to give this opportunity to my students. I thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

Literacy Rich Classroom for Kindergarten!
Funded Aug 22, 2015I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am to everyone that has contributed towards my classroom! My kindergartners will benefit greatly from these new and innovative learning tools. This project will help my students gain the foundations for reading and the love of learning. This is new and exciting territory for all of us. I will guide them and build on their strengths and weaknesses by using new centers to improved, a hands-on way of, learning.
With all of your generosity, I was able to reach my goal and therefore give my students the tools to succeed. I cannot thank you enough!!!”

No Room Left on the Rug
Funded Dec 14, 2014Isn't it comfortable to be able to gather everyone in one place? Especially with all the cold weather, our newly purchased rug provides comfort, warmth and togetherness. This makes for a positive learning environment. Some kids love the feel of sitting next to one another, others like the multiple colors and some just like to because they know they can read a book with their friends. I know that blankets provide security to some, but our rug has that security for learning.
It's big enough so that we can all be in one place, and no one is left "off" the rug-since its size is more than enough to accommodate everyone. Therefore, there is never anyone who feels left out. We feel like a family, sitting next to each other, listening, laughing and learning!
When we all gather together, the children know that we are on best behavior—learning Respect at an early age----always making progress
We are so grateful to have a great learning environment. This makes for a positive learning experience. It helps to have the necessary tools to do my job. Anything, that anyone can provide towards this goal, is very much appreciated. Thank you so much!!!!”
