  • Flexible Comfortable Seating Empowers Learners

    Funded Jul 9, 2019

I cannot thank you enough for providing my students with the tools they need to achieve academic success.

My children enjoy sitting around the room when reading or completing their math tasks. So having cushions that are lightweight and comfortable provides my students with the flexibility to choose where they want to sit a and be cozy and comfortable at the same time. Last year, my students had to sit on a cold floor and now they will have not only choice to learn in an area they feel comfortable but the ability to be comfortable.

It's donors like you that provide my students with the tools they need to grow as learners”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Desimone

  • Clean and Fresh

    Funded Jul 12, 2019

I cannot thank you enough for providing my students with the tools they need to achieve academic success.

Keeping our classroom neat and clean can be a challenge. It's important to wipe down desks and areas that are in constant use. With flu season fast approaching having cleaning products on hand helps keep germs to a minimum. Colds and viruses spread quickly and keeping the wipes and dust mops on hand helps keep my students in school and reading to learn.

It's donors like you that provide my students with the tools they need to grow as learners”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Desimone

  • Math Manipulatives are Useful Tools for Solving Problems.

    Funded May 20, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to my project. Fractions are a difficult concept to learn so having Dominion Fraction tiles that have two fractions on a tile that are equivalent with pictures really helps them visualize the fraction. It's important for special needs children to use math tools since most are kinesthetic learners and having hands on tools makes it somewhat easier . They love Fun Friday, where they are able to use different math tools to solve their math tasks. It's fun and engaging. They rarely complain when they feel like it's a game. Thank you again for caring about my students

    academic success.”

  • Legos to Decrease Stress and Aggression

    Funded Aug 22, 2018

I want to thank you for your generous donation to my class. It's so important that as teachers we not only educate but teach our students how to handle their anger and emotions.

Having a calming corner enable my students to step away from the class and seek an area that is calming and soothing. Lego's are a wonderful addition to our calming corner. Who doesn't love to Lego's!!!!

Many of our students arrive at school upset and angry. Allowing them 5 to 10 minutes to decompress is essential for their academic success for the day.”

  • Supplies For Everyday Learning

    Funded Aug 28, 2018

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your generous donation.

This is the time of year when children are shopping with their parents to buy school supplies and new cloths, but not every student gets that opportunity.

Most of my students do not arrive to school with supplies, so when the boxes arrive they jump up and down likes it's their birthday. It is a sight to be seen.

Many of my students do not have anything they can call their own. So for them to have their own crayons, folders, color pencils just basic supplies help boosts their confidence.

Children should not have to worry about having supplies, clean cloths or having a safe place to sleep.

Their only focus should be, how to be a successful learner.

So thank you for eliminating one of their worries.”

  • Backpacks For The Homeless

    Funded Aug 17, 2018

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you who donated to this project.

Many of my students are homeless, live in shelters or are in foster care. This is the time of year where children arrive to school with their new cloths, supplies and backpacks. Not these students so when the boxes arrived with their new backpacks with supplies and books inside you would have thought it was their birthday.

Children who rarely smile are smiling and jumping up and down. It's important for students to be able to carry all their learning tools to and from school in a clean and smoke free backpack.

Thanks and much love class 214”

  • Clean and Fresh

    Funded Aug 24, 2018

I want to take this opportunity to personally thank each of you who donated to this project.

Many of our students are in foster care, homeless or live in shelters. They do not always arrive to school in clean cloths or having used basic everyday hygiene products.

Having a care closet that provides our students with the basic hygiene products (toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, cologne and body spray. providing these products eliminates one less thing our students need to worry about.

Children should only have to focus on learning”

  • Organization Is Essential To Be SuccessFul

    Funded Aug 21, 2018

I thank you for taking a interest in the academic and personal growth of my students. My students get so excited when they are told all these goods that they are receiving is coming from friends all over the US.

It's important to help keep children organized so their focused is solely on learning. Having learning tools close at hand enables students to move from one task to the next with little movement.

Having seat sacks children do not have to look through a messy desk or have to get up from their work station to look for their learning tools. Having seat sacks keep supplies organized and handy.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Desimone

  • School Uniforms For Our Homeless Students

    Funded Aug 19, 2018

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for donating to my project.

This is the time of year that parents and children are shopping for new uniforms, supplies and backpacks.

Not all children get to experience shopping for new items , many of my students are homeless, live in shelters or are in foster care.

We are a school that requires all of our students to wear a uniform. Many of my students do not come to school in uniform, they are excluded from recess and or school parties. So we decided to start a care closet in our school that

provides our students with uniforms. When the boxes arrived with their uniforms my students facial expressions were priceless.

So thank you for providing my students with uniforms.”
