  • Snacks to Curb Hunger So We Can Focus on Learning

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

When the boxes arrived with their juice and snack I cannot articulate how excited they were, words could not express their joy . I have to limit the number of snacks they can receive per day if not we would have been out of stock. When I look at my donors I notice it's the same wonderful people that give . You have truly become part of our school community . Anthony and Theresa you are always there to provide your love and support . My kids this year face many challenges but knowing you have their back makes it easier . Thank you and I cannot express the love I have for all our donors . Thank you for being part of our school community .”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Desimone

  • Supplies Required to Be Successful

    Funded Dec 14, 2023

Thank you so much the phonics games were loved by all. Paper towels and tissues is an important staple in the classroom.

The winter months when colds and flu is running rapid. Tissues, hand sanitzer and paper towels are used throughout the day. I cannot believe the amount of tissues we go through in a week, we cannot keep enough tissues so I thank you.

The pencil sharpener and pencils are another important staple in our classsroom. We cannot have enough pencils. we literally hand our three to five pencils to each child on a given day.

I simply love the word pop its. It's a great learning tool.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Desimone

  • Curb Hunger and Quench Thirst

    Funded Oct 11, 2023

Thank you so much for providing my students with drinks and snacks . My children were so excited to receive the boxes and boxes of snacks and drinks . They loved the pop tarts and capri suns .

Since our water fountain is not drinkable the 44 bottles of water is a awesome addition.

Today when they were crying they were hungry we were able to meet their hunger needs . As you can see from the pictures it was like Christmas in my room today .

My only Issue is they are constantly telling me they are hungry”

  • Germ Free and Smelling Fresh

    Funded Sep 6, 2023

I thank you so much with flu season fast approaching having vanilla disinfectant wipe makes the room smell lovely.

This year i invested in an outdoor rug. It stays cleaner and with the wet vac it stays clean and neat.

The traditional classroom rugs get so dirty so having the above our rooms remains clean and smelling fresh.

Tissues in ABUNDANCE is a must for every classroom. We go through q box of tissues everyday. And with flu season we will go through two. So it's a huge help to have all the supplies on handy.”

  • Snack to Curb Hunger and an Easel for Group Work

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

My students love working on their large white board easel for group work. They are so eager to get up in front of the room and work out their math problems.

The snacks have come in handy but we are running low so I'm going to have to replenish.

I thank you for taking an active interest in my students.

Not only do we provide a a strong foundation academically but we have to provide social and emotional support. And that's difficult when they are hungry. We have lunch so late in the day that by 9:00 my babies are starving. and they are required to wait until 12:20 to eat. So snack as essental.”

We finally received computers for each student , I cannot tell you how excited my students are. But imagine 25 students listen to videos or an audio book . It can become very distracting . So needless to say headsets were a top priority . So I thank you , my students thank you and visitors to my classroom thank you .

Also with group work being a focus , having a extra easels is a huge help . This year I have several paras in my room so it will be useful for them to have supplies to better help the students complete their work .”

  • Being Organized Lessons the Stress

    Funded May 11, 2023

Thank You for providing cubbies that will contribute to the organization of students books, pencils, folders and personal items.

We all know that being organized helps students transition from one task to another. They are able to find their supplies and move to the next task with ease. Having to locate tools can take up to ten minutes. Wasting valuable learning time. Keeping kids organized and on task is important.

Donors like you provide essentials that are required but not provided by our districts.

Teachers expenses can exceed 1,000 per year. Donors like yourself help ease that burden.”

  • Reading Takes You Places

    Funded Nov 28, 2022

Thank you so much , my students enjoy reading . Many of the children on our team rarely leave the community so providing high interest books gives them the opportunity to experience different things and visit places. They enjoy learning about different countries and exposure to different cultures and people. Providing books on their independent reading level gives them a choice of a variety of genres . They are so grateful to our donors . They feel important and loved . I cannot that you enough”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Desimone

  • Sound It Out

    Funded Nov 8, 2022

Dear Anthony you have become my students primary benefactor . You have supported my babies for the past few years and I cannot thank you enough. My students love the phonemic awareness and phonics games. They cannot wait until center time . Their decoding skills are improving and they are becoming readers .

Since I work in ICT , I have a number of students that require more of a hands on approach to learning and all the material that you funded are providing my students the opportunity to choose the way the learn best . You are the best !!!

    Thank you JoAnne”

    With gratitude,

  • Learning Can Be Fun

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Todays learning requires more than just answering questions form a book,

By students learn best when playing games using computers or sand.

My students cannot wait for center time, since my students are hands on learners using games that focus on CVC words, word families or making silly sentence keeps them engaged , learning and having fun.

If they are doing anything that doesn't include pencil and paper they view it has fun and not learning. Learning games are an essential tool for teaching decoding, Blends, Digraphs and word families.

    Thank you so much”
