Our library is a unique place. Students can visit when they have a free period or lunch, and they use our space to read, complete assignments, decompress in our Peace Center, work on the computers, print, borrow textbooks or browse books, magazines, DVDs, graphic novels. We also have a number of games we loan out as well as textbooks and SAT flashcards. We are excited to add a Makerspace to our library to further enhance the space. Our school has an admission test, so rather than being a neighborhood school, my students come from all boroughs of New York City. Students are diverse and SO interesting. One student will request a foreign language book "to improve my French," while another asks about my favorite Horror recommendations. It's never a dull moment! Working with this population makes my job thrilling and challenging.
