  • Let's Dive Back Into School!

    Funded Dec 4, 2024

We are so excited to get these items! We especially love playdoh/ and slime. This will help us use playdoh in more subjects rather than just in our reading centers! We can use slime and playdoh during our choice time activities. These materials help build our fine motor skills. YAY!”

Thank you for helping to ensure my students get options.

I can't wait to see the looks on the students faces when they are choosing their own seats for learning.”

  • Help Our Classroom Jobs! Pet Care

    Funded May 7, 2022

Thank you for donating to our classroom pets and to our classroom jobs. Our class gets so much from having pets especially our guinea pigs. They give students a since of responsibility and purpose. They also get to learn how much it takes to take care of one. With the supplies that were donated, students were able to clean up their cages and help them maintain a clean space. They also get to enjoy their company! Students get to hear our guinea pigs call for food such as carrots, hay and apples! Thank you again.”

  • Let's Build a Library with Diversity!

    Funded Dec 24, 2021

Thank you for donating to our class. Many kids were able to see themselves in the books or see their classmate represented. Most importantly, it helped us push back against bias and prejudice that sometimes occur because of social media. Additionally, things we might hear in our community. Our goal for having these books is to have these stories being told in our classroom that are not told. We got a chance to learn about people who might be the same or different from us. Thanks again for thinking of our class and the future!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Joana

  • The Questioneers After School Program

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

Our Questioneers were able to explore, build, and get messy using the materials funded by our generous community! We were able to mix paint and cornstarch. WE MADE A MESS! When they first saw these items they were excited to put them to use, especially the model magic. Students couldn't get enough of model magic and kept asking for more. Our next steps is to continue to use these materials during Choice Time and during our ELA time. Students are encouraged to bring their creativity in all aspects of their day. Can't wait!”

  • 2nd Grade The Architects

    Funded Sep 23, 2021

We've been hard at work making projects with our new materials! We've been able to use watercolors every Friday and we also made volcanoes. When they first saw these items they were excited to put them to use, especially the blocks. One student said they were nice because they were so smooth. Our next steps is to continue making projects based on our curriculum and interest. We are planning to continue to make diorama's in Social Students which will include a lot of glue and paint. Students keep asking to make more volcanoes. Can't wait!”

    Ms. Joana

These materials will help my students build community within our classroom. Blocks are an essential part of Early Childhood Education. They help students think critically as well as give them hands-on experience. Students also get a chance to be responsible for their space. Students have Dance and Music but are missing essential art materials. These art materials will help students create a more expressive environment where they can share their work with the community. The paint will be used to extend social-emotional learning. The glue will help extend projects in Social Studies. Additionally, they will have a chance to get a more hands-on experience in a normally more structured environment.
