My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interests of my students. Students in my classroom like learn new things and get excited about what they are learning. If we teach today as we taught yesterday, we rob our children of tomorrow. Technology is just a tool in terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important. My students can use the Fire Tablet to expand their vocabulary (translate/dictionary), keep track of library books available in the classroom (Book retriever), create a portfolio of projects and team work in the classroom (Class Dojo), learn how to budget and save (EVERFI), create and research projects (Google Classroom), use educational games based on individual needs (ABCYA, Math Antics, Study Jams), access to books for different levels to enhance fluency and comprehension (EPIC!), utilize Microsoft to prepare for their future jobs (PowerPoint and Word), coding for programming and many more.
