Let's Make Memories!
Funded Nov 15, 2021Thank you so much for you generosity. The students and their families were so pleased with the memories books and all the cities that filled the pages. They loved seeing the child hard at play with their classmates and how much they have grown over the year.
These memories bright smiles to everyone's faces. I love being able to make my students and their families soo happy.
Because of you we were also able to post pictures of the students around the room in the centers as they played. They loved seeing the pictures change as the year progressed.”

Funded Nov 15, 2021Thank you so much for your generosity. The students and I LOVE all the outdoor toys and games. Whenever we get a chance to go out and play they grab it all.
We've played so many games, practiced letter writing and drew pictures for each other with the chalk. They love to chase and pop the bubbles.
Your donations have brought our outdoor play to a new level. It is building relationships among classmates, teaching them how to share and follow rules of a game along with developing and strengthening gross motor skills.
We are so grateful!”

Funded Nov 15, 2021Thank you so much for your generosity, we greatly appreciate now having a library that looks nice and is super easy for my students to not only find books but to put books away after they finishing reading.
We love being able to have books on display, especially that books that have been read aloud in class. It makes it so easy for the students to choose as their book to read.
The book cases are so well made, and we do not have to worry about getting splinters when pulling out baskets or putting them away.
Our library is now safe and inviting for all, because of your kindness. Thank you!!!”

Funded Nov 15, 2021Thank you so much for your generosity. My students do not get many opportunities to prep, cut, read recipes and actually cook at home. There are so many teachable moments in the 'kitchen' and we are all loving it.
The students (and myself) are having so much fun cooking and learning. We have made cookies, applesauce, brownies, cakes and fried veggies. They love that they are able to help cut, measure and mix. They are using their senses during the whole process and their families love hearing all about what they cooked up in class.
Seeing the excited in their faces when it's 'done' is priceless. They are so proud of what they created.”

Funded Jul 1, 2021Thank you so much for supporting my class with the subscription to Scholastic Magazine. The students and I are loving each new magazine with Big Red. The students are very familiar with Clifford the Big Red dog from TV and books so it grabbed their attention right away.
We gather together on the rug and look through each page carefully, discussing everything. They are so engaged and asking so many questions. The topics that are presented are so relevant, interesting and the students learn so much. They then bring the magazine home and share it with their families. Their parents and families are so excited to hear their child talking about what they read and learned in school and the students are so proud of themselves for telling their families all about the magazine they 'read' in school.
Scholastic has so many great components that are paired with a subscription. I love the 'big' copy that is provided so it is easier for the students to follow along.
The students are really developing their love for reading because of your generosity.”

Read Alouds and Mentor Texts? Yes Please!
Funded Dec 2, 2020Thank you so much for your generosity, it is truly appreciated. Book are so important in teaching, no matter the grade. It is imperative to have a large selection of books in our classroom library for my students to choose from for indpenedent reading and even more important for me to use in my teaching.
Teaching a self-contained, multi grade class brings many challenges in and of itself. However, add in lack of books, and books that have already been used in past years, it makes the job even harder. Your generosity has not only provided so many independent books for my students to choose from but also provides me with new read alouds and mentor texts to use while teaching reading and writing. Many students are in my class for a few years and I like to keep things new, so I do not hear "We did that already!"
The students were so excited to look through all the books and help sort them to put them in our classroom library. Several students who were not aware of all the books we recieved (because they are fully remote) were so excited to get new books to read at home. Parents were contacted and asked to come to school to pick up a book baggie. After a few days parents reached out and said that their child finished all the books and would love some new ones. Having new books builds and strengthens a love of reading.”

Funded Dec 17, 2020Thank you so much for your generous donations. Because of you, we are able to provide a clean, germ free classroom to the blended students. They know when they walk into the room everything is clean. They love having their own bottle of sanitizer on their desk.
What we love most is to be able to provide students with the necessary packets for them to use at home to practice the skills they have learned either in the classroom or at home on the computer.
I am able to print out necessary materials for the students to use as a resource and not worry about how much paper is left or if there is enough ink the printer.
The fully remote students also love seeing their work hang in the classroom. They complete the work at home, share it with me and I am able to print it out and dispaly in it our classroom, just like I would do if it were a 'normal' year.
Having generous people give to teachers and students make the job so much easier and lets me remind my students, that even though we are living in a crazy time right now there are still so many good people in our world.”

Funded Dec 3, 2019Thank you so much for your generosity. My students love having a special place in our classroom to go when they feel frustrated, mad, annoyed, and sad. They now have many options to help them calm down, regroup and get back to their best learning. They especially like coloring, looking at the bubble flip jars and smelling the camling scents in that area.
Being able to see the students acknowledge their own feelings and know that they can manage them on their own is amazing. They have learned that having many different feelings is ok, but how we handle them sometimes is not. Having a calm corner and strategies to use is very empowering to all the students.
Your support is truly appreciated.”

Funded Jul 12, 2019Thank you so much for your generosity. My students are loving all the mind challenging games and puzzles. It is unbelievable how much faster they are getting when they are playing these games. The strategies they are developing are helping them with their actual academic work.
Their confidence is soaring, communication skills are improving and they are having so much fun. Without your compassion, none of these things would be happening. My students and I are so grateful.
I love seeing them have fun and learn without them even realizing it.”
