Starting An Elementary School Band From Scratch, Part VII
Funded Aug 17, 2013I'd love to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your generosity. This will undoubtedly change the lives of my students forever. When I first told my students about my Donors Choose projects, they could not believe their ears. When I told them how much money was raised, in the amount of time it took, they seemed to not believe me. Once the instruments started coming in, they knew it was for real.
The two flutes, and two clarinets have been unpacked, and the students have received their first lessons in how to put the instrument together, as well as ways to care for the instrument. We will start running through the Essential Elements 2000 book in the coming days.
These series of projects has boosted my teaching by equipping me with resources that I probably would have never received due to budget restraints. I'm able to differentiate using these resources, and reach a wider range of minds. The students' learning has been impacted as well. These students are able to learn music from different many different avenues.
Because of you, my students will have a very successful, and musically enriched year.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Licari
