Guitar Supplies
Funded Sep 18, 2024Thank you so much for funding our project. Our intention is to teach our students how to truly be DIY and fix and diagnose basic guitar issues. With these items we will be able to continue the essence of the true DIY musician and pass down these traits to the next generation.”

Funded Mar 27, 2024Thank you for your generous support of our DonorsChoose project! The ocarinas and recorders have had a remarkable impact on our music program. Students are now more engaged and enthusiastic about learning music. The ocarinas have sparked their creativity, while the recorders have helped them grasp fundamental concepts like rhythm and breath control. It's been heartwarming to see them collaborate and support one another. Your contribution has truly transformed our classroom experience, and we are deeply grateful for your kindness!”

Funded Feb 12, 2024With your generous donations, my students were able to see what it's like to not only touch a record for the first time but also experience what it is like to be a DJ. The excitement was something else to see. This project is a continuation of a previous project.
We learned about how to care for the instrument and the vinyl record itself, because that's the most important part. We also learned some scratching techniques and played those techniques to a background track. We will be trying to record our scratches on BandLab due to the existence of a USB port that can be connected to the computer for that purpose.
This project was specifically for the vinyl records for the turntables. These vinyl records are incredible products.
We wanted to thank you for being the generous people that you are.”

Funded Sep 18, 2023My students were able to bridge the gap between music and science with this project. It gave them a chance to see the bigger picture regarding the mechanics and electronics of how music is made. They were particularly excited about using the real electronic components in the Theremin Kit.
It's always wonderful to see how children respond to these outside-the-box units and to watch them succeed at doing it is equally as wonderful. I hope that this unit (thanks to you all) had sparked an interest in not just music but science as well.”

Funded Dec 21, 2017Thank you so much for your generous donation. Me and my students are eternally grateful that you all care so much about children you've never met; so much so that you are providing them with funding and supplies that enrich their lives.
Because of your donations, my students have been significantly challenged in a STEAM activity. With these Snap Circuits Sound kits, my students have been able to assemble various different sound components, and challenge themselves by creating what we call a graphic score in order to make interesting and weird sounding music.”

Funded Sep 14, 2017I'd like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your selfless donations. With these ukuleles, my students will find a new avenue to learn instrumental music. These instruments are small enough to be the perfect size for any student in our school. Some students have taken full advantage of our new items as part of our Pop Music Combo group. All students were very excited to see the boxes, and offered to help me unpack them. Once again, I'd like to thank you so much for your generous donation, and hope that you get as much joy as I do knowing that these children are really lucky to have what we have here.”

Music Library Resources
Funded Dec 22, 2016Thank you so much for your extremely generous and selfless donation. We, the students, teachers, staff, and I, at my school now have access to quality music, thanks to you.
My students have been able to combine many disciplines, like science (through the study of acoustics), mathematics (executing rhythms instantaneously, which are combinations of precise fractional subdivisions), history (seeing music through the lens of composers, genres, and time periods), foreign languages (music is written in languages other than English; music itself is a language), and physical education (coordination of many different body parts, as well as extraordinary control of the different breathing muscles).
Because of your donations, my students will combine all of that knowledge to create true art, and expression. I can't thank you enough for your generosity.”
With gratitude,
Mr. Licari
