• Music Department Community Garden

• Music Department Percussion Cabinet

  The resources you have contributed to our program have been invaluable. The budget for our music department is very limited. Additionally, the student population is a 100% title 1 school so collecting fees from students is out of the question. Thanks to your contribution, the students have shoulder rests to help them play with the proper posture which contributes to proper intonation and better overall sound and performance.

  The students were moved to tears to receive this support. Many times the students feel unappreciated and recognized by our community. Your support shows the students that someone believes in them besides their teacher. The students also felt very lucky and blessed to receive support and new equipment.

  Thanks to your generous support we are excited to be working on a virtual ensemble project. We will be able to have enough bows and shoulder rests to be able to record a virtual ensemble project. We will be recording an ensemble project where we are recording a video of ourselves performing.

  Thank you so much for your contribution, receiving resources like these will help to support my students but also support me. This support provides a much needed shot in the arm for me as well as my students.”

• Music Department Equipment: We Need It!

  Your donation was immensely helpful for my students and the music department. The students were shocked once we received the materials. One

  of the items we purchased was a teacher's repair kit. Thanks to your donation we were able to purchase this repair kit which enables us to fix our instruments a lot easier. Furthermore, the students were extremely appreciative for the repair kit because we are now able to make sure there instruments are working properly. I can't tell you how much of an impact it has made for these kids to be able to use instruments that actually work!

  The tambourine is another item we purchased. The students and I couldn't believe how unbelievably good it sounded as they played it. Our previous tambourine had a hole in it and the head was ripped right down the center. We've used this new tambourine for everything from concert band to jazz band to drumline.

  The donation we received allowed us to purchase much needed equipment to improve the overall quality of instruction. It's very difficult to teach students when they play on broken equipment. We desperately needed this to improve our overall sound but to improve the quality of our instruction.”

• Music Hardware: Cymbals and Snare!

  The donation you made to my students was immensely helpful. It is so difficult to ask my students to have pride in their playing and themselves when they are forced to play on broken equipment. I cannot express how difficult it has been for them to play on cymbal stands that don't stand. That was the reality of our situation here before your donation. The student response was incredible. The students couldn't believe how much better their sound was and technique when playing with actual working equipment.

  The students are using the equipment every single day. The hardware pack which consists of three cymbal stands, a snare stand, and a high hat stand gets used every day by concert band, jazz band, and our drum-line programs. The snare drum that we were able to purchase has an amazing sound and the students use it daily. In addition to sounding great the snare drum has a life time warranty which is great for our school music program.

  In addition to helping with the overall quality of instruction, your charitable donation contributed to the confidence of the fine young musicians in my program. The students are often intimidated when competing because they play on equipment that is of poor quality. You have given them a tremendous boost to help compete! Thank you so much!”
