I teach at a school that serves students with the most profound mental and physical disabilities. Our school is very important to our community. Unfortunately, due to recent economic hardships, financial cuts have been made to not only our school but our entire community. The majority of the students within our school receive free or reduced lunches. I am an Intervention Specialist who serves students with physical, mental, and developmental disabilities. My students are medically fragile, confined to wheelchairs and are nonverbal. Due to their disabilities and medical state they are home bound and not able to come to school. My students are between ages 10-18.
