  • Calming Area

    Thank you for your generous donation. It's been put to great use by my students who absolutely love the light table. They use it during their independent work time, building towers and learning the alphabet. When I introduced the lightbox to them for the very first time, they were so thrilled and exclaimed that it was the best activity we had in our room. They love how the lightbox changes colors and creates a calming learning environment. This light box, along with the alphabet sensory tactile tiles, is exactly what my students needed.

    The light table will also be used for drawing and tracing during our center activity time. The students will have a choice of doing different guided drawing activities at the light table and then returning to their desks to write a story. My hope is that this lightbox will help to build a love of reading and writing for my students.

  • Love to Learn, Learn to LOVE!

    I can not express how thankful I am for your donations. The students in the class were overjoyed when our donations arrived. They wanted to use all the resources immediately. It made me so happy to see all my students eager and excited to learn. My students are using the phonics activities in their independent learning centers. Students enjoy using these hands on activities to continue practicing their reading and writing skills.

    A little boy who was struggling in my class was able learned his sight words with the help of the resources you donated. His big bright eyes and cute little smiling face looking at me and saying, "Ms. Lu, Ms.Lu, I can read all my sight words now. I love reading!" It melts my heart to see how proud he was of himself for this big accomplishment.

    You have made a real difference in the lives of my students. Thanks to you, many of the children now and in my future classes will love learning and reading with the help of these resources.”

  • For The Love ❤️ Of Reading

    When I came across your generous donation, I can't tell you how excited and how much I appreciate your support. Your generous donations will go a long way to helping my students continue to build their love for reading. In fact, with your gift, we were be able to provide many new books to our classroom library that will not only benefit my students this year but to many more students I will be teaching for years to come.

    With our new books my students are continuing to build comprehension skills such as summarizing, making connections, predicting, visualizing, compare and contrast, etc. The new books had also boost my students' interests in meeting their accelerated reader goal. Now, that majority of the students' has met their goal for the semester, they can't wait to start their next goal for the second semester.

    My students are reading for enjoyment and pleasure. They are asking if they can read when they are done with their classwork without being TOLD! They are now taking books out to recess and lunch break to read. I am truly amaze by this and this warms my heart. It is all thanks to your generosity!
