As our students are learning math by doing the math, we often have the problem or student findings projected. Some of my students can become overwhelmed by the length of some of these problems, or the sheer amount of information. The spotlight will help students focus in on what is relevant at the moment. Students will be able to zero in on one part of a problem at a time and better be able to complete a task. The spotlight will help students not to be overwhelmed, but rather take it step by step. As they succeed, they will realize it wasn't so bad and gain more confidence in Math!
