Snacks & Facts
Funded Nov 6, 2023Thank you for your generous and selfless contributions towards our eighth grade students! They were very excited to receive the snack boxes and boxes of fruit snacks. We have used the snack boxes on a real-need case-by-case basis [for students who are particularly hungry on a given day and not just taking advantage of free snacks]. We have used the fruit snacks as motivation for test days as well as for prizes after a riveting game of Kahoot! It definitely caused the students to get better and higher scores the next time we played!
Thank you again for contributing towards our classroom and encouraging us all to do and be better!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Letford

Funded Jun 11, 2021Thank you so much for your generosity. The materials provided, though seemingly simple, have great impact on myself as a teacher and my students. My students' eyes lit up when they first saw the magnatiles. A few exclaimed "Ooohh" or "I've always wanted that!"
The classroom decorative items (motivational posters, welcome sign, birthday badges, star accents, and hall pass) have added a personal touch to the classroom. The students have a work environment that is set up just for them. The have space that is clean, organized, and welcoming; a space conducive to learning.”

Follow the SPOTLIGHT!
Funded Mar 15, 2019The Logitech Spotlight Presentation Remote is a tool that has aided in my teaching practice as well as in my students' learning and engagement. The remote allows me to manipulate slideshow presentations, moving forward or backward as necessary. As it is wireless, I am not required to be stationed near my laptop. I can circulate around the classroom, working with students, and maneuver the slides from anywhere in the room. If a student I'm working with needs to go back to a particular slide, I can do that quickly. If a student has a question on something I have on an upcoming slide, I can quickly jump ahead to address that question.
In addition to manipulating slides, the remote also has a spotlight feature. This allows me to highlight a specific part of a presentation. I can highlight something I need students to see, focus on, or draw attention to. I can also highlight to determine exactly which aspect a student may be talking about or have a question about.
Students are always surprised and in awe when I use the Remote. They enjoy the fact that I can be anywhere in the room and change slides. They like the spotlight as it helps them focus and is just "cool." Each time I use it, I can hear students gasp or make sounds of awe. Some of my students who find it difficult to focus at times, enjoy the spotlight feature as it shows them exactly what to look at. The students really enjoy when technology and "gadgets" are used in the classroom.
My students and I greatly appreciate your generosity! We look forward to continued use of the Remote by both teacher and students!”
