• Color Our World!

  Funded Feb 15, 2023

  Thank you for funding my Color Our World project! This printer has changed our learning! The printer is being used daily in the classroom to create colorful learning centers for my small groups. Sadly, my school does not provide these resources so I am forced to spend my preparation periods on this. The resources I am creating are engaging and differentiated to meet each child's learning needs. I will continue to create and laminate these resources so I have them for the entirety of my career!   Thank you for funding our Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards. These gift cards were used to purchase supplement resources for my kindergarten and first grade ENL classes. Because my school does not provide a curriculum, I was able to provide my students with the curriculum they need to succeed! The resources I purchased for small group instruction, are engaging and differentiated to meet each child's learning needs. I plan to use the balance of my teachers pay teachers to buy assessment bundle so my students have exit tickets after each lesson.

• Differentiating Instruction Through Technology!

  Thank you for funding our Samsung Tablets! Technology in the class is a great addition and extremely helpful for learning. At the moment, I have many ESL students in the classroom. The programs funded by the school help these students learn English at a faster pace. These programs help them recognize letters, identify letter sounds, and even begin sight words. These skills are the basic foundations of reading. The tablets are used in the classroom during group work and they are sometimes sent home for homework. This allows those ESL students to get the extra support they need.

  Thank you so much for your generous donation to get my class a variety of healthy snacks and not so healthy snacks. My students and I enjoyed eat our snacks at the end of the day. Many students come from low income households and aren't unable to come to school with a snack. We eat lunch at 10:15 so by the end of the day my students are pretty hungry!

  Thank you again for your donation. Because of you a child will not go hungry. My students aren't guaranteed a meal once they leave school so knowing I can provide them one before they leave means a lot.”

• Seat Sacks To Organize Their Stuff!

  Thank you so much for your generous donation. When my students walked into the classroom that morning they were so excited. Many of them said "Wow these are cool!" Another student said "I can't believe these are ours!"

  Your donation as really made an impact on my classroom. Before these seat sacks, the classroom was disorganized. Since my students don't have regular desks, I was forced to put their school books in bins and have a "table captain" give them out. There was a lot of movement and distraction in the classroom and this delayed beginning a lesson. These seat sacks have caused the students to move less and allowed them to become more independent of their own belongings. They take pride in being about to put their stuff away on their own.
