  • Expressing Ourselves in Different Ways!

    Thank you for the art supplies. My students are using the paints to learn about primary colors and create secondary colors. They were super enthusiastic about the opportunity to be able to experiment with mixing of colors. The children also used the paint and paper to create stain glass windows. The children also created Jewelery boxes for their mothers using the construction paper and jewels.

  • Getting Connected!

    Thank you for helping my class obtain the Lenovo Ideapad Laptop. My students use the computer to reinforce the learning that goes on in our classroom everyday. The computer has been beneficial because the students use it to play educational games and listen to recorded stories during center time.

  • Snug as a Bug on a Rug!

    Thank you for helping me obtain a new rug for our classroom. The children were very excited when they came into class and first saw it. We are on the rug a majority of the day and the rug we had before was old and stained. The new rug brightens up our classroom. It is also bigger than the old rug. There is enough space on the rug for each child in the class to sit comfortably. The children are no longer sitting on top of each other on the rug. The children are more focused when learning on the rug. Thank you again!”

  • Hands-on Learning Fun!

    Thank you so much for the literacy and math centers. The children are excited every time we use them in class. It makes learning so much fun.

    In my class there are a group of ESL students. The Story Sequence Learning Center has helped to immerse the children in acquiring language vocabulary.

    The math centers give the children an opportunity to work in small groups and interact with their peers because math is an interactive language.

    Using the materials we received helped the children in the class to make great strides.

I am requesting several hands-on literacy and math centers for my students. These centers will help teach and reinforce math concepts such as addition, counting and one-to-one correspondence. The literacy centers will support learning of writing sentences, and sequencing of story events. These activities will give my students independence during center time. I have noticed that my ELL need to work on the skills contained in these centers in order to move on to more independent and higher-level learning. While I directly work with small groups, the other students will be able to complete these activities in a self-paced and non-judgmental setting.

About my class
