  • iScream, uScream, We All Scream for iPads!

    Funded Nov 8, 2015

Thank you so much for donating to our goal for purchasing I pads! The students are using the I pads for AR (Accelerated Reading) quizzes. Students read books and take comprehension questions. As students read more books and raise their reading goals, they earn prizes. The students also use the I pads for educational games. There are so many wonderful apps that the students enjoy playing, even though, they are all educational.

With technology today and how kids love electronics, my students get so excited just to use the I pads no matter what they are able to use them for. I have a couple students who are working below average who receive learning support outside of the classroom. These students benefit so much from the different learning apps and games on the I pads. I enjoy seeing how much more they are reading and learning their basic math facts. Thank you again for your wonderful donations. We are very grateful and appreciative!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kojima

  • Ladibug Come Fly to Our Second Grade Classroom

    Funded Oct 25, 2013

When we received the Ladibug, the students were so excited. It has made such a difference having the document camera versus the overhead. They love to see everything in color. When I have them explain problems, they love to come up to put their own papers under the camera.

I use the Ladibug for everything. It is pretty much on all day long. I love that I can zoom in, so my students in the back can see what I am writing. I love that everything shows in color, so the students can see what it actually looks like. When I read a Teacher Read Aloud from my manual, I can put it under the Ladibug, so the students can read along with me. Doing art projects is so much easier; instead of having it on the whiteboard, and the students in the back trying to see what I am doing.

I can't wait to try the other features that are on the Ladibug. I saw some great art projects using the Ladibug that I can't wait to try. Thank you so much for your donation! We are definitely getting our use out of the Ladibug!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Kojima
