  • Refresh and Quiet Environment

    Funded Sep 22, 2024

On behalf of our special education technology class, I want to extend our sincerest gratitude for your generous donation of headphones, cleaning pads, and mouse pads. Your contribution has had an immediate and meaningful impact on our learning environment.

With these resources, our students now have access to an enhanced and more personalized learning experience. The headphones are helping them stay focused during lessons, while the cleaning pads and mouse pads provide the tools necessary to ensure a safe and effective hands-on approach to technology. For our students, these seemingly small things make a huge difference, offering them the opportunity to engage in learning in ways that are better suited to their needs.

Your kindness is not just about providing supplies—it's about supporting the success and confidence of every student in our class. We deeply appreciate your support in creating a more inclusive, accessible, and empowering learning environment.

Thank you for believing in our students and helping us foster a space where they can thrive.”

  • Cases for My iPads

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

On behalf of the students and staff of our Special Education program at P177Q , I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of iPad cases and chargers. Your support has made a significant impact on our classroom.

As you know, technology plays an essential role in supporting the diverse learning needs of our students. The iPads are used for communication, personalized learning, and skill-building, and having the proper accessories, like durable cases and reliable chargers, ensures that we can maximize their potential. Your contribution helps our students engage in lessons more effectively and empowers them to reach their full potential.

The safety and accessibility these accessories provide mean so much to us, and we are grateful for your commitment to enhancing our learning environment. Thanks to your kindness, our students can now focus more on their learning without the worry of equipment damage or loss of functionality due to lack of charging.

Once again, thank you for your generosity and continued support of our special education program. Your donation makes a world of difference to us and is deeply appreciated by both our students and staff.”

  • Bottoms Up

    Funded Jun 7, 2024

I hope this message finds you well. I want to thank all the donors for their generous contributions to our Bottoms Up project. The cushions have made a significant difference for our students, providing comfort and protection for our students from the sun while enjoying the outdoors.

Additionally, the students are thoroughly enjoying their snacks as part of our reinforcement strategy. I also wanted to mention that the compressed gas dusters have been a fantastic addition, keeping our technology keyboards clean and functional for our student's needs.

Again, Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our students' well-being.”

  • Outdoor Learning

    Funded Mar 26, 2024

Thank you for all your contributions! Without your support, this would not be possible!! This piece of furniture has brought comradery between students and staff. Students built the picnic table together this action gave them ownership. Students also have come together to volunteer to clean their school surroundings. Every two weeks my classes go out to pick up litter and soon we will pick up leaves/trash from the sewer grates.

This outdoor space has now been turned into a learning area. This is great because students and staff are more in touch with nature. Student engagement has increased and the outdoor curriculum has expanded. Outdoor education has provided our students with hands-on experiences and a deeper connection to the natural world. Collaboration between teams has increased and we hope to incorporate our families as well.

    Thank you so much...”

  • Calming Environment

    Funded Mar 10, 2024

Your donations have impacted my students in many ways. At times my students may not be having a great day and shifting to a calming sensory environment is what they need. With your donations, I was able to purchase an aroma therapy light lamp. This creates a relaxing ambiance that helps my students to refocus. Along with sensory/fidget toys that help with grasping and anxious feelings. Shifting to activities that do not pertain to technology like dot paints and sensory sand brings another aspect of learning to my class. Having the funds to purchase digital material from TpT provides me the flexibility to cater to my student's interests and needs.

Thank You again for all your contributions they are greatly appreciated and put to good use.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Jurado

  • Makey Makey Inventors

    Funded Oct 27, 2023

The Makey Makey Invetors has impacted my classes in many ways, the first is in engagement and motivation. It has captured the attention of students and made learning more engaging. This is especially beneficial for students with special needs who may require additional motivation to stay focused. Students have been following instructions to participate with minimal prompting. These customized lessons using a circuit board with technology are how students' curiosity gets sparked, begin learning to view computers to problem solve or create objects to help us. can be too stimulating and abstract to conceptualize.

Having Makey Makey activities can target specific skills such as fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and social interaction. These activities are often designed in a game-like format, making the learning experience enjoyable for students. This is followed by social interaction in which students sit next to each other, following rules and turn-taking.

The Makey Makey circuit has facilitated teaching these concepts to my students. It has been a rewarding experience to observe them learn with a smile. This has been so much fun.”
