These clip-on tuners will provide instant feedback to students about their pitch accuracy and tuning tendencies. Currently, the band is on the upswing where we earned our first Superior in many years. The ability to play in tune is a critical skill in the development of every musician. We can begin taking those steps with clip-on tuners for every student which will significantly increase their understanding of intonation tendencies according to a research by Matthew Clauhs and Chad West (Ithaca College). The program is looking to develop higher quality musicians through a well rounded daily music instruction. These tuners will be used as one of many tools to make every student a better musician.
