Taking Task Boxes to the Next Level
Funded May 8, 2024Thank you so much for your continued support and generosity. We received our gift cards from Teacher Pay Teachers and purchased new activities to support our special education curriculum.
We have been learning about personal hygiene, different life skills, and tons of executive functioning skills. We are able to participate in hands on activities that make learning meaningful and effective.
We have put together new task boxes that promote independent living skills as well as employability skills. We are finding the activities fun and interesting! Thank you once again for continuing to support our classroom and believing in our abilities!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Hefner

Funded Apr 27, 2023Thank you so much for your contributions and continued support. We received our Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards and purchased materials to start our new school year off right! We have brand new activities for our task boxes to keep our focus on learning and having fun at the same time.
We have been able to complete exciting "meet me" activities, learning about one another lessons, and of course, our important social skills and life lessons activities.
We are extremely grateful for your support time after time and we are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and family who believe in our education.”

Serving Our School
Funded Aug 31, 2022Our Bissel Crosswave and our recycling totes arrived today! We were so excited to unpack the boxes and get started on our service project right away. We made decals for our recycling bins and delivered them to classrooms and offices within our school building. Each recipient was grateful for the new recycling bin and thought they looked great with our logo!
We then unpacked our Bissel Crosswave, put it together, and started cleaning our classroom floor. It was easy to use and made our floor look nice and shiny. We can't wait to hear what the janitors think of our shiny, clean floors!
Thank you for always supporting our projects, we are forever grateful for your kindness and generosity.”

Funded Jun 14, 2022We received our paper shredder and recycling cart at the start of this brand new school year! We are extremely grateful to have these wonderful resources to help us out with our schoolwide recycling program. For several years we used a worn down flatbed cart with a plastic trash can on it to transport the recycled paper and it was not user friendly at all. Now, we have a nice cart with four wheels that will hold much more paper than we could haul before! My students love to push the cart due to the ease and not to mention the quietness of the transport. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support and generosity.”

Funded Mar 31, 2022We have received our wireless earbuds and our noise canceling headphones, the students are extremely grateful, and so am I! What a tremendous difference it has made in our classroom. My students with mobility issues are able to move freely without the entanglement of wires and my easily distracted students can concentrate on their online studies with the noise canceling headphones. I don't know why I didn't post this project years ago! We are extremely grateful for each and every one of you, your generosity, and your continued support of our classroom. We are beyond blessed for your kindness. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Help Keep Us on Task
Funded Jul 9, 2021We have received our materials to make task boxes and we sure have been making the best use of them! We have designed task boxes to meet individual student needs across the curriculum as well as preparing for community readiness.
We are extremely blessed to have so many wonderful resources at our fingertips and ones that engage the students and help them to feel successful and independent.
My students find themselves wanting to use the task boxes during "free time"! I couldn't believe it, but that is exactly what I wanted to accomplish. I hoped they would have fun learning and not see the task boxes as a chore or another boring task.
I am overjoyed with the success of this project and beyond blessed for your support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!”

Funded Apr 21, 2021I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting our classroom and helping us to reach our goal of purchasing a colored printer. We received our printer and we have been printing tons of colorful materials that we use for communication purposes.
We are also using the color printer to print colorful materials for task boxes to support our community readiness needs. It seems like such a small gesture to some, but to our class, it is HUGE! We are extremely grateful for your continued support and your belief in our abilities. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

Protecting Our Health and Resources One Page at a Time
Funded Dec 1, 2020I would like to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and generosity. We desperately needed a new laminator to protect our daily lesson activities. Having the materials laminated ensure we can reuse them each day and we are able to disinfect them thoroughly to prevent the spread of germs.
Not only are we using the laminator in our classroom, but we have extended the invitation to each staff member in the building as well, and they are taking advantage of finally having a functioning laminator.
Thank you once again for your support!”

Funded Nov 20, 2020I would like to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and generosity. With the premature closure of school due to the pandemic, I was extremely concerned as to how I was going to ensure my students received the services they require for successful learning.
Living in a rural community can be a blessing but also a hinderance, especially when it comes to technology. Internet capabilities can be non-existent in many of our county's areas. Hands-on activities and resources are a must for my students with special needs, and this project provided many opportunities to learn through hands on activities as opposed to solely "online" instruction.
Thank you once again for your support!”
