  • Engaging History Environment Part 3

    Funded Mar 25, 2011

The addition of this third iPod to our classroom has led to more effective and engaging instruction. It is much easier to schedule student time with these wonderful pieces of technology as well. We have used the iPods for a wide variety of activities. My students have been able to research and create better projects. They can use the iPod during group time to help complete cooperative learning activities as well.  Groups no longer have to "fight" for time on the classroom computer or laptop.

This iPod not only has helped increase the level of instruction, but it has also made a variety of activities much easier.  I can use the iPod as a classroom management device, to show podcasts, play transition music, and so much more.  It has really helped change our classroom for the better”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hardin

  • Engaging History Environment Part 2

    Funded Feb 26, 2011

The impact this iPod has had on my classroom is enormous! We have used the iPod in a wide variety of different manners. Students have used it both in groups and individually. I also have been able to use it with the entire class.  This amazing addition to our class wouldn't have been possible without your generous donation!

Students have been able to use the iPods for research, vocabulary building, and so much more. I have also been able to utilize the technology to show podcasts and demonstrate different skills to the entire class at one time.  I have also been able to use the iPod as a classroom management device.

We truly appreciate your consideration and thoughtfulness in funding this wonderful device for our classroom”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hardin

  • Write & Wipe to Excite & Engage Students

    Funded Mar 15, 2011

The project that you have funded for my classroom has been a wonderful help for my classroom.  The Write and Wipe boards and markers have allowed us to be more eco-friendly.  It has been a great lesson for my students in how little changes can allow us to "go green."

We have used the boards and markers for everything from review games to writing exercises.  We can have effective lessons that are interactive and engaging.  The students are not only more interested in the material when we use the boards, but we are also saving paper!

Thanks so much for your generosity”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hardin

  • HP Ink + HP Paper = Engaged Students

    Funded Feb 26, 2011

The materials provided through this project have been such a blessing for my students. We have been able to use these materials daily. The HP ink and HP paper has made a huge difference in the types of activities that we can do in class.  We have used these materials for everything from making posters to daily class work.

The HP paper and HP ink allows me to meet the diverse needs of my students. I can easily make copies for makeup work or enrichment activities. I can also print extra copies, hand-outs, and a whole variety of other things using the materials you so generously helped to provide for my classroom.  The benefit from these materials are immeasurable.

    Thank you”

    Funded Feb 26, 2011

Your tremendous support means the world to my students and me. In fact your donation is helping to open a world of possibilities for my students. This project allows us to use our HP technology to the fullest.

The extra memory means that students can work together and save their projects without worrying about overwriting anyone's data. It also means that it is much easier for both students and me to be able to find their work faster.

These wonderful HP products are engaging my students in hte curriculum. They are more interested in our history dicusssions and actually asking to do the work! The impact is amazing to see.”

This wonderful piece of technology has had such an impact on our classroom. The technology has been a tremendous help in motivating my students. It has also served to garner their interest. Thank you for your generous and thoughtful donation, which help make this possible.

The HP camcorder has been used or a variety of projects. We have been able to use it to capture both video and pictures. The pictures and video have been used to add dimension to various aspects of class instruction. I have also been able to use it to add images and personalized video to the class multimedia presentations and website.

  • HP Multifunction Printer (and ink) for My Multitaskers

    Funded Feb 20, 2011

I can not tell you how marvelous this HP multifunction printer has been for our classroom. It allows me to print and copy materials as we need them. I do not have to worry about the copy machine being down or sending students in the middle of class. This alone would have been a great improvement for the class, but my students are also able to utilize this wonderful technology.

The printer and ink allow my students to work on a variety of activities. We have already used the printer to create booklets on the Greek gods, posters on the Roman Empire, and some visual aides on other related topics. The printer also allows my students to scan in pictures from books and other sources to add to their multimedia projects. It helps get them engaged in the educational process.

Your contribution in helping provide this HP printer and ink is greatly appreciated. The students and I use the printer every day and are grateful for your generosity. Thank you for your support of my classroom and my students' education!”

  • History At Their Fingertips

    Funded Feb 15, 2011

First of all, I want to let you know how your donation has helped change my classroom. It has gotten my students excited about not only history but about their education in general. The addition of this wonderful HP laptop to my classroom has had a significantly larger impact than I ever expected. My students are engaged and participating in their own learning experience.

The laptop has been used in a variety of activities. My classes have used the laptop to do research, print pictures, design posters, and even work on interactive lessons. I have also been able to use the laptop to design informative bulletin boards, assessments, Power Points, and even update my class website. This HP laptop is an amazing addition to my history classroom because it opens the world up for my students and puts history at their fingertips!

My meager words are not nearly enough thanks for what you have done for our classroom. Your contribution will not only impact their history education, but it also open opportunities for literacy and technology education. Thank you for helping make our corner of the world a better place!”

  • HP Saves the Day

    Funded Feb 22, 2011

My class and I received our HP Flash Drives, CDs, and DVDs today. We excitedly tore into the boxes and pulled out the treasures held within. The HP flash drives, Cds, and DVDs are already having a wonderful impact on my classroom.

First of all, they have motivated my students. My students know that they will now be able to create wonderful projects and save the information to either a disc or flash drive. Not only will they be able to show their parents their projects, but they can also use the information in other classes. Since the materials can be utilized in other settings besides my history classroom, the project has more meaning for my students.

These materials also will solve a few problems in my classroom. They will make data organization a faster and easier process. We can also now save data without worrying about having to overwrite someone else's data because of limited storage.

Please accept our sincere appreciation! You have helped "save" the day in Mrs. H's classroom! ”

  • Engaging History Environment

    Funded Feb 10, 2011

First of all, my class and I have been completely overwhelmed by your generosity. My students and I are finding it hard to believe that this project was funded as quickly as it was. Not only could this project not have been funded so fast, but there is almost certainly no other way that this project could have been completed without your help. Thank you!

Secondly, we want you to know that we are extremely grateful for your willingness to support us in this endeavor. This project has excited and motivated my students to succeed at their own goals. The iPod is not an engaging educational tool which will serve to help students connect with both World History and the outside world in general!

Please accept our humble thank you and know that we do not have enough words to fully thank you as you deserved to be thanked!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Hardin

As a teacher, my goal is to make history come alive for my students, but I'm at a disadvantage. Many of my students do not have many resources available to them. Teaching World History to 7th graders is a difficult task, but I believe technology integration will aid me in meeting and exceeding my goals as a teacher.
