    I am so thankful for the donations I received earlier this year. The 2017-2018 school year is off to a great start! Using student interactive notebooks has been a great idea. It keeps student work all in once place and allows the students to be creative. On my page I included several pictures of different interactive notebooks. It has been fun to see the different opinions my students have on various topics we have discussed thus far. We have also already done two different brochure activities, and I have been able to display them in the brochure display holders I received! Students love to do activities that include being creative (rather than sitting listening to me talk the entire time!) These activities, such as the brochures, allow them to use their imagination while also learning. It seems to work well for them! Thank you all so much again. Your donations will truly help this school year be wonderful!”

Trinity Basin Preparatory is a melting pot of very diverse students from grades PreK-8. TBP is a free charter school designed to meet all individual academic, physical and emotional needs. I teach a group of 7th grade students from all different backgrounds and with different learning abilities. I do my best to encourage and challenge my students every day. Unfortunately, it is hard to get students interested in history. I am working hard to change that and find ways to make history fun and exciting!
