  • You Can't Mask Creativity

    Funded Mar 16, 2021

Thank you so much for your generosity. A project that we really love each year is making paper circuits. The students have so much fun seeing their circuits light up as we make a fun holiday card to share with their families. This year, it was even more special to be able to do this project and have supplies for the at-home learning students to participate along with their in-person classmates.

We are excited to decorate and personalize our facemasks, as it gives the students the opportunity to express themselves in a unique way.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Muncy

  • Teaching Tinker Tech

    Funded Dec 30, 2020

Thank you so much for your amazing generosity for my students. With this project, I was able to create gears kits to send home with each student in my first and second grade hybrid classes. These students are students that I am not able to teach in-person, but we do lessons via the internet. They were so excited to take these kits home and we did many projects with them, including building a merry-go-round, a leprechaun trap, and a glow-in-the-dark ferris wheel. The students kept asking to keep them "for just one more week!" It was such a joy to see them learning about gears in such a fun and exciting way.”

  • Tinker, Tinker Little Star

    Funded Dec 28, 2020

Thank you so much for your generosity to my students. I was able to send gears kits home with my hybrid students for them to work on STEM projects at home while on video conference. We built a merry-go-round, leprechaun traps and a ferris wheel. The students had so much fun building they kept asking to keep the kits for "just one more week!" It was really such a joy to sign into our meeting and see that they still had their latest creation still built and they were still playing with it.

When these come back, they will get cleaned and sent home with another group of students so that everyone can share in the joy of STEM!”

    Mrs. Muncy

  • Paper Art for Everyone

    Funded Dec 27, 2020

Thank you so much for your support of our students. They are loving all the projects we are creating with the cardstock, and having labels makes it much easier for me to send projects home with the distance learning students. Recently, the first graders used the cardstock to create paper circuits cards for Valentine's Day. The students really enjoyed learning about electricity and seeing the LEDs light up when they connected to the batteries. Other projects that will use the cardstock will be building cars with the kindergarteners, and paper paper helicopters with the second graders.

    Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Muncy

  • 3D Printing for All

    Funded Dec 27, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous contributions to our students. The 3D printing filament is being used for student projects where they are designing and printing their own name as a keychain. The 4th graders, both those learning in-person and those learning at-home, got the opportunity to use graphic design software to create their keychain. Each class got to vote on what color to print their keychains, and many picked glow-in-the dark! The keychains got printed on the 3D printed and the students put the keychains on their backpacks! What a fun project!”

  • Briks Out Loud!

    Funded Feb 5, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous contributions to this project! The packages arrived today and the kids were so happy to use the voice amplifier and be heard! We had a great time building with our legos and telling about what we had built. the had to decide whether they would rather live on the moon or underwater, and build what that would like to live there. It was such a fun and engaging activity that really got the kids thinking about what their new worlds would look like.

Thank you again for your amazing support of our classrooms”

  • LEGO for Techno!

    Funded Dec 28, 2020

Thank you so much for your tremendous support of my students! This year has been so crazy, and the LEGO kits gave them a sense of "normal". Each student was able to have their own kit and not worry about germs or sharing.

The project from today was to build something that represented the president that they had chosen for their social studies project. The students had a great time building cars or military tanks. It was truly great to see them excited about something.

They can't wait for their next chance chance to break of the LEGO kits and get creative.”

  • Stop Motion for Everyone

    Funded Dec 27, 2020

thank you so much for your generous contributions to my students! They loved getting their crayola dough. There were so many fun colors to choose from. I was able to send home dough with the at-home learning students so that they had the opportunity to participate in the Stop Motion projects, just like their in-person classmates.

They have had such a fun time making dough creations that they are animating using stop motion. The stories they tell are so creative and inspiring. It is great for them all to have a hands-on, creative outlet this year.”

  • LEGO My Ride

    Funded Dec 29, 2020

Thank you so much for your amazing contributions to our LEGO projects. The students loved being able to do something that was hands-on and creative. This year they haven't been able to use much of our STEM lab as they either aren't learning in-person, or we have to make sure all items are cleaned and quarantined. Being able to have individual packets of LEGO for them to build with made a huge difference in their learning.

The project they worked on today was to build something that related to the president they were studying and creating a presentation for. Students made LEGO creations and took pictures of them to include in their presidential presentations.

They had so much fun they didn't want to go out to recess!”

  • Robots for Voting #2

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

Thank you so much for your donations to my students and this project. Having these robots available for students to take home while we are distance learning has made such a huge impact on how we are able to do our STEM lessons. Now, all my students, regardless of where they are learning, can share in the same experiences together.

My students could not wait to get these robots home and start experimenting with them. The robots are so versatile and can be programmed via so many different methods (barcodes, sensors, block and written code) that we were having fun just learning how they worked.

I look forward to getting started on many wonderful programming projects with my students, including creating community impact challenges and videos to encourage coming together for the greater good.”

My project is for supplies to use with our Wonder Robots in our Innovation Lab for project-based learning. This year the students will be introduced to both programming skills and design skills with Wonder Robots in their project-based learning adventures. The Wonder Workshop Build Brick Extensions and Technic Series Parts will be used by the students to design and build special attachments onto the robots in order to have the robots do specific tasks. The 20 compartment roll file cart will help the students keep their robot mats organized so that they will be ready to begin their project-based learning lab experiences in a timely manner.
