  • Back to Basics

    Funded Oct 23, 2024

Words alone cannot express our thankfulness and gratitude for your kind donations. We are extremely grateful for each and every thing we have received. The students were excited to receive their birthday pencils to use in their classroom writing. The pocket charts helped to organized their visual learning cards, which made it easier for everyone in the classroom to see and use. Students were able to point to the cards on the pocket chart and read them. The poster charts allowed for students to get creative and create anchor charts that depicted their learning. We have used them for every subject! Once again thank you from the bottom of hearts for your donations and allowing me the ability to provide for students in a meaningful way.”

    With gratitude,

  • Kinder Readers

    Funded Aug 18, 2022

We were so excited to recieve our new additons to our classroom library. The books are being used to support our learning, comprehension, and develop our love for reading. We use the books as mentor text in our writing. Each book lends itself to a writing lesson, such as becoming authors, illustrators, and readers. The books support our growing fascination of producing quality writing pieces. We use the books during our read aloud time and during our independent reading time. All of my students love all of the books, their storylines, and illustrations. Thank you once again for supporting our learning and love for reading.”

  • Inspiration for Reading and Learning

    Funded Jun 5, 2020

My students love listening to the books being read aloud to them. During distance learning this has been an unprecedented way to do things, but with the generous donations we have received from supportive donors we are been able to continue with our learning. Students are using the skills they learned through the texts to continue with their learning on reading comprehension, reading skills, cause and effect, and story sequencing. Along with the reading skills they are obtaining they are learning critical skills such as being active listeners and speakers.

Reading during distance learning is very different. Books are read aloud through Zoom or a prerecorded google slides presentation. Finding different ways to engage our readers is my top priority.

I have a diverse group of learners and the books we received through the generous donations has kept them engaged, ready to learn, and active readers. Thank you once again for your support and generosity.”

  • Distance Learning in Kindergarten

    Funded Oct 20, 2020

Thank you so much for your support and generosity. The materials that were received allowed me to organize tool boxes filled with student supplies. The toolboxes are extremely helpful during distance learning since many of students did not have the resources to get school supplies. The supplies allow the students to complete their work and have the necessary supplies for learning and projects.

Students and parents were overwhelmed with joy when they received their toolboxes filled with pencils, glue, learning resources, scissors and manipulatives for reading and math. Parents were happy because their children had all the necessary supplies to continue with their distance learning.

Thank you once again for your support and generosity as we continue learning through these unsure times.”

  • Guided Reading Is Fun!

    Funded Feb 2, 2019

Thank yo so much for your amazing support! With the help of your donations my students now have access to guiding reading books. Guiding reading books in different levels allow me to differentiate my students into their leveled groups and help them with the help of the books to read. They are not only reading but also working on skills such as blending, reading sight words, reading fluency, comprehension and so much more! Guiding reading in my classroom looks like a book club. Students meet with me and we discuss each book as a group focusing on a particular skill, for example blending CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words, then we read the book together or independently. Students also have the choice to read to me or with a partner. My students are enjoying the using the books during our book groups and love the variety of books to choose from. Thank you once again!”

My classroom does not have any type of magnetic boards for my students to use. As a teacher I also do not have a magnetic board. My student need a fun, engaging and creative way to build words and sentences. One way to accomplish this is buy using magnetic letters on a magnetic board. Students will use fine motor skills and their letter-sound identification skills to build words and sentences. My students will also learn to cooperate with each other and work as team when using the magnetic board and letters. Students will also learn how to care for classroom supplies.
