  • Buddy Reading Books

    Funded Jan 25, 2024

I simply can't thank you enough for supporting this project. My students were thrilled to open the boxes and find so many new and exciting books. They are making plans to start reading them immediately.

It warms my heart to see their love for reading grow. You have played a major part in helping me foster and nurture that growth. Your donation will help my current students and my students for years to come. I am looking forward to in depth conversations about our reading and many comprehension activities. I know these books will help so many students and I have you to thank for that.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Ray

  • Student Led School Safety

    Funded Aug 16, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting this projects. We are excited about getting a Safety Patrol Team started at our school, and your support has helped bring this vision to life. We have several students who are a part of our first Safety Patrol Team. They monitor the hallways as students enter and exit the building each day.

The vests help students and staff easily identify the members of the team as they patrol the hallways. They use the notepads and pens to write down any major issues they see. This group meets weekly to discuss any issues and make updates to their plans and locations. None of this would be possible without your help. Thank you again.”

  • Help Us Calm Down Together

    Funded Feb 9, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting this wonderful project. Your support has allowed us to create a safe space for students to work through their emotions. Our school wide calm down room will be used by students from kindergarten to fifth grade as well as students in our more intensive special education classes.

This space will be manned by a staff member to ensure student safety as well as to ensure that students are truly working through their feelings and getting prepped to return to class. We are looking forward to all of the great things that will take place in this space in the years to come.”

  • Diverse Books Inspire Diverse Thinkers

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

Thank you so much for this wonderful collection of diverse books. My students rarely see characters who look like them in our required readings, so this gives them a unique opportunity to see themselves throughout our reading time. These books have the ability to inspire students to believe in themselves in ways that may not have been possible before.

It is also important that students are able to see other characters that come from diverse backgrounds. This collection will allow them to see people from various cultural groups showing perseverance and pride in their heritage. I am excited for all that my students will be able to do and learn with these books at their fingertips.”

  • Our Flock Needs Diverse Books

    Funded Dec 1, 2020

Thank you so much for your generous support with this project. I am excited to engage my students with all of these amazing new books. Since we are still 100% virtual, these books will be shared using a document camera to zoom in on all of the wonderful art work and details. My students love to see a wide range of characters and cultures, so these books will open the door for us to explore our differences.

We always celebrate what makes each student unique, but these books will help us to highlight how they are all alike as well. We will also use the chapter books as engaging read alouds that will challenge our thinking and help students learn how to visualize as they listen to the text.

There are so many amazing lessons to explore using these books. I truly appreciate your help in making this possible for my students.”

  • Can you Hear me Now?

    Funded Jan 9, 2020

Thank you so much for giving to this project. It was so important to me to ensure that my students had reliable headphones to use in the classroom. These headphone would be used with chromebooks and iPads in our class.

Many times students are using chromebooks or iPads to complete individual assignments or activities. Good headphones help to minimize the distractions so student can stay focused and complete their work to the best of their ability. We have gone through many types of earbuds and cheap headphones in the past. I am excited to give them the opportunity to use these new sturdy headphones when we return back to the classroom.”

  • iPads To Enhance Learning

    Funded Dec 28, 2018

Thank you so much for your donations to our classroom iPads! My students were so excited to open the package and find such amazing items. Another amazing company donated cases, and we jumped right in with using them each day.

We are able to use these iPads for so many things! We have a wonderful reading fluency and comprehension application that allows students to hear stories being read and answer questions based on what they have read. They love using these new iPads to play games and take awesome pictures of their learning and exploring. Another way that we use these iPads to help with accountability during our math and reading stations. Students take a quick picture of their work, either at the end, or while they are working. This allows me to see all that they have done.

We have only touched the tip of the iceberg with all of the opportunities that are now just a click away. Thanks to you, we will be able to explore and learn so much more. Your donation means the world to me and each of my students!”

  • Getting Crafty in the Classroom

    Funded Jan 8, 2019

Thank you so much for your awesome donations. The excitement on my students faces as the boxes were opened was amazing. They cheered for each individual item that was pulled out of the box. I shared in their excitement, and we brainstormed ideas of what we will use some of the items for.

So far, we have used the paint the most. We have made several different fingerprint paintings using stencils, and we have painted using marbles. While the noise from marble painting was eventful, they thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to paint during morning experience and indoor recess.

This has been such a wonderful opportunity, and I am so thankful to each of you for your selfless donations.”

  • Let's Build It Together

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

Thank you so much for helping my students by donating to our class. Each child was so excited when we opened the boxes and they were able to see all of the amazing new building materials. We use them during our morning experiences, as well as during our indoor recess times when the weather permits. Each set provides my students with a different way to create and build to express their ideas. I can't wait to see how much my students get to experience while using these new materials. Thanks again!”
