My students have been so excited to have teacher made books in their hands all year. Then have loved being able to color them, circle the sight words that are tricky ones- find digraphs and suffixes... it's been GREAT!
The day the project was delivered to the classroom was the best. They had giggles and guesses as to what was inside of the boxes. Once they were opened they screamed with glee that it was paper and markers!!

Thank you so much for your support and donations to my Treasures Project. My students have been so excited to return to school and earn treasure box. Some earn treasure box for getting 100% on a test, others earn it for returning a book log, and some even earn it for growing academically!
The new treasures of slap bracelets, rings, pull back cars are the best! Students are allowed to play with them a little before putting them away and returning to learn. This interaction with their treasure box item fuels their fire to learn more and DO EVEN BETTER THAN THE LAST TIME!! It's awesome!”

Thank you so much for donating to my chip project. These chips have really helped to motivate my students online learning this school year. Many do not care to focus on the computer and hope that the time will just "fly by!" However, with the chips~ the students all care!!
Our District requires the students to complete 30 minutes of online usage in Reading and in Math. Once my students complete that usage, they earn the chips. I ante up by allowing them to earn lunch in the classroom if they complete the usage for both subjects. I have 25 students and for the first time ever... all 25 will be eating lunch in the classroom when we return to school after winter break. Woohooooooo!”

Thank you so much for donating to this project!! I loved getting to read the Grinch to my students and see their worry and excitement throughout the whole book. They LOVED getting to pin the heart on the Grinch. For some it may have been their first time playing a version of "Pin the Tail on a Donkey."
They also really enjoyed making their own little "grinches" out of playdough. Some students were very detail oriented and used their pencils to design. It was adorable!!

Thank you so much for giving to this project and helping make my dream a reality! The flower stools match the theme of my classroom and the students are so proud to sit on them and learn! They know that while they are big First Graders~ they are REALLY BIG and grown up when sitting on the stools!
There used to be a few students that didn't want to come to small group... Thanks to the colorful stools, they are excited to be called over and proud to be with me learning!

Thank you so much for donating to this project and helping me bring smiles to my students faces. Our district, requires the students to complete online usage and reading and math... many were not able to purchase the headphones they needed to complete this usage. BUT BECAUSE OF YOU- they now have them!! Without the headphones I had to have the students sit in corners of the room so that they could focus on their work. This made a few feel like they were "bad." Since receiving the headphones, they now feel like part of the class and sit proudly at their desks wearing their new headphones. (Not to mention they are focusing so well and it's helping their scores!!)

At the beginning of the year, place value seemed very foreign to so many of them... but now they look at a T chart and instantly know the tens column and the ones column. Then using the ten sticks and itty bitty ones has opened up their eyes to "seeing" the make-up of the number. I just love it!! Watching their brains at work is the best feeling in the world!
Soon we will be testing online to see how much growth they've had since September. I am confident that because of your generosity, their math will soar! Please continue to check on teachers like myself and help all our dreams come true!”

Having new filters in my air purifier has made me so happy! There is no better feeling in the world than knowing my students are sitting in my classroom learning, while breathing in healthy air.
I replaced my old filters during pre week and I was in shock at how dirty the filters were. Then I was in shock thinking that the students could have been breathing that yuckiness in. So, again... thank you, thank you, thank you for helping me keep my students healthy.

We follow the teaching model of "I Do (teacher), We Do (teacher plus students) and You Do/They Do (students working alone or with partners). This model allows students to visit centers every day and apply the skills they have learned independently or with a partner.
