  • Space Exploration

    Funded Nov 22, 2024

My students were elated to have space supplies donated. More than anything, they loved the inflatable solar system and the magnet solar system. It not only added visuals to our class but we gave heavily relied on them throughout this solar systems unit. Students refer to them on a daily basis to remember sizing, order, moons, rings etc. What they liked most about the inflatables was their sizes! We were so excited to have visuals of that size and nature and to have them hanging so beautifully. Were it not for you and your support, we wouldn't have such great resources!”

  • Classroom Economy

    Funded Oct 23, 2024

Students were beyond excited for this project! They got to use transaction books to keep track of their earnings. At the end of their pay-period they cashed their earnings in at the "Bank." Students were especially excited to work as a banker to pay their friends, and to work as cashiers in our class store! Students not only learned the value of a dollar, when purchasing their items, but it was a fun way for them to use math in the real world. It was such a great project that students are already asking if they can be a banker or cashier at our next store! Thank you for bringing this project to life with your generous donation(s)!”

  • 5th Grade ENGINEers!

    Funded Oct 6, 2023

Students were overwhelmed with graduated and excitement in making their own circuits and dc cars! With this being the first year in which we've had materials for each child, students were able to let their creative flag fly free without having to compromise their imagination by sharing materials with a group/partner.

Students enjoyed the activity so much that they out in a show for parents during Open House. It became the hit of the evening and I aim to do it again this year for my new bunch.

  • Lesson Plans, Worksheets and More

    Funded Sep 20, 2022

Were it not for your donation, our class wouldn't have had worksheets and lessons outside of our classroom texts. Students were able to engage in culturally relevant worksheets, created holiday bulletin boards, and made use of many different charts/graphic organizers/reference sheets. Our class, unanimously, said they most liked the Mystery Math bundles I was able to purchase with your donations. Students look forward to math and they are excited to complete clue worksheets, so they can solve their math mystery!

Students are also asking for more math mysteries as well as ELA mysteries! As of now, that is next on our list of things to purchase. Thank you for donations and for making math fun!”

  • Book Worms Dissecting Earth Worms

    Funded Aug 2, 2022

Your donations have had a huge impact on my students! Our class is the first and only at our school to have engaged in an animal dissection and it has been the talk of the school. Families from other classes have visited our room to check out the activity and to view student learning.

Students had so many questions prior to the activity, which helped elevate each lesson! Some were nervous about touching preserved earthworms, while others couldn't wait to get their hands on them. Many students mentioned how they felt like "professional scientists" and "high school students" because they were using "real science equipment."

The activity went so well that our school uses photos and videos from the experiment, at district fairs and family welcome events. Our class is proud to be the current face of our school's science department and we have you to thank!”

  • Full STEAM Ahead!

    Funded Sep 14, 2021

Thank you for your outstanding donation. Students used the paper for a number of activities including making origami frogs at the end of our frog unit, cards for families, and for a unit on aerodynamics in which they made airplanes, tested, and recreated their designs.

The airplane book was essential in helping them recreate their designs, as well as in creating airplane launchers using the template provided in the book. Overall the activities were successful and wouldn't have been possible without your donations.”
