  • Warm Their Hearts With Books!

    Funded Feb 13, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous donation of books for my middle school students. Your kindness will have a lasting impact, providing them with exciting, engaging stories to enjoy over winter break and beyond. For many of my students, access to books outside of school is limited, and this opportunity to take home a book of their own will not only keep them reading but also help foster a lifelong love of literature. Books like James Ponti's mysteries will keep them eagerly turning pages, while the inspiring stories in Hope Wins will offer comfort and encouragement during the long winter months.

Because of your generosity, my students will enter the new year with meaningful reading experiences that spark their curiosity and imagination. Seeing their excitement as they select a book to keep has been truly heartwarming, and I know these stories will continue to inspire them. Thank you for supporting my students and helping to nurture their love of reading—it truly makes a world of difference!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schneider

  • Murder Mystery May

    Funded May 30, 2019

Thank you so much for helping purchase books for our Murder Mystery May unit. Today, I showed the students the books that had arrived, and they are so excited! They got to read the summaries and look through the books. Many of them left the classroom saying that they cannot wait until May. You have helped me inspire and motivate students to keep reading by placing intriguing books into their hands. As Sherlock Holmes said to Watson, "Education never ends, Watson. It is a series of lessons with the greatest for the last." These books will keep them motivated until the end of the year and hopefully for much longer!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schneider

  • Non-Fiction for 7th Grade

    Funded Dec 18, 2018

We have recently started looking at book club choices and letting our students choose their books. The nonfiction books that you donated were some of the first books to get chosen and a huge hit with most of my students, too. Many of them took the book home and read it immediately, and came in ready to talk about what they read. Navajo Codetalkers led to really great conversations about native culture and what each person can contribute to our community. This experience grew us as teachers, students, young men, and future mentors.

Our 7th Grade team greatly appreciates the contribution you made to benefit our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schneider

  • Give the Gift of a story

    Funded Aug 2, 2018

Earlier this year you helped support books for our school's book club; students have started reading, enjoying, and sharing their book club books. Your donation gave us the ability to provide books to the students that were not able to afford a book.

Many of the students have eagerly asked if they could start reading the book ahead of time (with book clubs starting in quarter 2). Know that you have helped promote the excitement of reading. Our school and the students are grateful for your gift!”

  • Middle School Book Club Books

    Funded Mar 18, 2016

Earlier this year you helped support books for our school's book club; one of them being Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. As you may or may not know, the movie adaptation is being released tomorrow (9/30). With the popularity of the movie, over 40 students have signed up for book club. Your donation gave us the ability to provide books to the students that were not able to afford a book.

Book clubs will start on Monday, but many of the students have eagerly asked if they could start reading the book ahead of time. Know that you have helped promote the excitement of reading. Our school and the students are grateful for your gift!”

  • Books for Classroom Library

    Funded Mar 17, 2013

This is just a small token of my gratitude for your generous donation to my classroom. The poetry books that you donated helped my students every single day for the month of April – National Poetry Month. Some of the shorter, picture books (like Lemonade: Poems Squeezed from a Single Word) were read aloud in class. Some of the longer ones (like Perfect by Ellen Hopkins) were read by individuals for their poetry project. After reading the poetry, many were inspired to read and write more. Because of your donation, students considered the unit fantastic!

Without a library in our school, it is really difficult to provide students with reading that inspires them and makes them want to read more. With your help, the classroom was inspired by poetry!H”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Schneider

I teach 7th and 8th grade English in a public school. The students are respectful and well-behaved. Currently they take good care of the books in my classroom library. The students will be incredibly appreciative of and kind to new books.
