Help Build Communication in a Non-Verbal Classroom

Funded Mar 4, 2014

Like most teenagers my students are social, unlike most teenagers my students are non-verbal. This causes them great frustration. Everyone has a desire to be heard, no matter the voice. We have all felt marginalized, at some point, like our wants, needs or feelings did not matter or could not be heard. Having this Smart Board in our classroom will give us access to interactive lessons and games that will help build academic and life skills. It will help build important communication skills and will provide my students with a voice. Thank you for communicating to my students that their voices matter and more importantly that they matter.”

With gratitude,
