Students will have the opportunity to use iPads daily in small groups to reinforce vocabulary, phonics skills, and math skills being taught in class. They are eager to practice essential foundational skills on the iPad. Students feel as though they are being rewarded when they are given the opportunity to work on iPads. Students are motivated and encouraged which in turn results in highly effective learning activities. This technology will afford them the opportunity to work at their own pace and at their own level. iPads are highly motivating for first grade students. It makes them feel like they are playing games when they are actually building valuable foundational skills.
