Neverending Resources
Funded Dec 15, 2020I am sure I am not to first to say that teaching during COVID has been very stressful and demanding. Both teachers and students are having to adapt to new methods of teaching and learning. Having the freedom to purchase materials off of Teachers Pay Teachers has been a godsend. There are so many useful materials on the website but the price of your cart can increase very quickly. I was able to purchase materials to supplement our science curriculum. This came in handy because creating chapter assessments got to be very challenging. I am very thankful to the creators of those resources and to my donors for helping make my year a little easier!”

Funded Dec 15, 2020Thank you again for contributing to my classroom project. Having ink is essential especially when we are trying to make the transition back to a paper and pencil environment. My students really benefited from this transition. Although many students were tech savvy, some students really needed to return to the traditional format. Having ink at our fingertips allowed me to print materials on the fly for my students as well as being able to print out copies of student work that was completed electronically. Thank you again for helping make teaching during COVID a little bit less stressful!”

Funded Dec 14, 2020Thank you so much for donating to my project.
A very special thank you to DOW! Without you, this project would not have been funded. I am so grateful for your generously this holiday season. I will be looking forward to my materials arriving after we return from winter break.”

Funded Oct 9, 2020Thank you so very much for donating to my classroom project. Since our daily lessons are taught through Google Meet, I had to figure out a way to teach my lessons in a way that all of my students would be able to see what I was writing on each slide. The students sitting in my classroom would be able to see me at the board teaching the way I normally would but my students that are at home and in the other classroom would not be able to. Having the apple pencil is allowing me to teach my math lessons as if I was standing in front of my Promethean board.
I have adapted to this new way of teaching and I am loving that I can use my iPad and pencil to teach my math lessons. I am also able to use the Apple Pencil to annotate on the work my students turn in. Combining extensions and the Apple Pencil are making this new way of teaching beneficial to everyone.
In closing, I would like to thank you again for your generosity and for caring about my student's learning. Without you, my job would be more difficult.”

Ms. Cook
Let's Heat It Up!
Funded Dec 9, 2020Thank you so much for donating to my classroom project. I know that my students will be just as excited as I am to have heat in our classroom again!!
It has been so cold lately and I know that it is causing my students to not be able to focus like they need to on their school work. We are extremely happy to know that heat is on the way and will be in our future very soon!”

Funded Nov 16, 2020You do not know how appreciative my students and I are to have a classroom that meets our technology needs. My students are now able to charge their Chromebooks while still being able to participate in their lessons. The extension cords and power strips allow multiple students to charge their Chromebooks at the same time, which is a blessing!
Although the majority of my students are currently face to face, our daily lessons are still through Google Meet. This is necessary to accommodate all of the students, both in person and virtual. With the high number of COVID cases we can go back to 100% at any moment. Keeping my students consistent with how they are learning is vital to keeping the learning continuing whether it is in my classroom or over a computer screen.
In closing, I want to thank you again for donating to my classroom project and helping to keep the education my students are receiving as consistent as possible.”

Technology Goal: Back @ 1:1!
Funded Jan 18, 2019Thank you so much for making a donation to our project. Having the headphones has make it easier for my students when they are on their Chromebooks. Many do not bring headphones to school so it can be very hard to complete their lessons when they cannot hear what it being told to them. It is difficult to remain focused and on task when you hear the other students sound on their Chromebooks.
Having the Chromebook added to our collection has helped get our class back to a 1 to 1 environment. We did not realize how much we utilized the Chromebook daily until we did not have them any longer. Thank you for helping us get one step closer to our technology goal!
We appreciate everything you have done to help!”

Funded Nov 29, 2018I am very grateful for the Building Fluency Math Kit. I have incorporated this into my daily Math lessons since it has arrived. My students get excited when they realize it is fluency time. I have been having them solve the problem of the day on post-it notes, which already increases the fun level of this activity. I encourage my students to solve the problem using a strategy that works best for them. I then choose three post-it notes randomly and if they answered correctly they get a treat! I know that having a foundation in Math is necessary for my students to succeed and I am trying my best to provide them the best foundation possible.”

Funded Dec 20, 2018Thank you very much for donating to my class project. We have been able to pair our document camera with our brand new projector and projector screen! Having a place to project my student's work digitally for them to critique and analyze has been wonderful! At first we were a little worried with how large the projector screen was, but we quickly realized that it made it much easier for students all around the room to see what was being projected. I look forward to using these technology tools with my class more. The possibilities are endless with these materials.”

Funded Oct 15, 2018Having a document camera has made my classroom run more smoothly. It is not only allowing me to model work for my students, but it is allowing them to show their own work. This has been especially helpful when we are critiquing other students work. I believe a way for my students to improve their own math skills is through viewing how others solve and work out the problems. My students are able to spot the mistakes of others and explain how the problem should have been solved or another way the problem could have been solved. Practicing this will especially come in handy for when my students take their state test in May. Their confidence will be built up because we have been practicing these skills in class.”
