I have a sweet class of 20 students. Each day they arrive with smiles and eager to learn. They are so much fun, they LOVE reading and learning!
Many of my students have been identified as at-risk based on developmental indicators of other children their age. 75% of my students live in a single parent home or with grandparents. Only 4 have ever attended any type of day care or preschool environment. Many of my students parents do not have the education or skills to provide reading and literature to their children
Our school is made up of approximately 283 students that come from a low income families. We are a Title I school, most of my students receive free or reduce breakfast and lunch.
Each student is unique and they add something special to the class. They are excited about school every morning and they are eager to learn. I love watching them learn and adding books to our classroom library would support that learning.
