  • Education Toys

    Funded Oct 31, 2024

Thanks to your incredible generosity, our classroom is now filled with engaging, hands-on learning experiences! The moment my students saw the new educational toys—Counting Ice Cream Cones, cars and road signs, Alphabet Learning Locks, and Block Play People—their faces lit up with excitement. They immediately started exploring, sorting, and creating, turning our classroom into a buzzing hub of learning through play.

These resources have quickly become essential parts of our daily learning. The Counting Ice Cream Cones make practicing number recognition and counting so much fun, and my students love "scooping" up the correct numbers. The cars and road signs have inspired imaginative play while reinforcing lessons about community and traffic safety. With the Alphabet Learning Locks, students eagerly work together to match letters and sounds, building early literacy skills in a hands-on way. And the Block Play People have brought storytelling and social-emotional learning to life, helping students explore different roles and relationships.

As we continue our learning journey, these materials will support our next steps in math, literacy, and problem-solving. We're planning activities where students will use the ice cream cones for simple addition and subtraction, and the road signs will help us discuss map skills and positional words. The learning locks will remain a favorite tool for reinforcing letter recognition, and the block people will be part of storytelling and role-playing activities that build communication skills.

Your generosity has made a lasting impact on our classroom, turning everyday lessons into joyful, meaningful experiences. Thank you for supporting our students and helping them learn in the most engaging way possible!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dye

  • Clean Air for Your Students Classroom Equals Better Learning!

    Funded Oct 31, 2024

Thanks to your generosity, our classroom now has an air purifier, and the impact has been immediate! From the moment we plugged it in, my students were curious and excited. They asked questions about how it works and why clean air is important, which led to a great discussion about health and our environment.

Having cleaner air has made a noticeable difference in our classroom atmosphere. My students are spending long days learning, exploring, and growing, and having a fresh, healthy space helps them stay focused and feel their best. We've incorporated the air purifier into our daily routine by making it part of our classroom jobs—one student gets to check and monitor it each day, which they love!

This addition has also tied into our science lessons. We're currently learning about the five senses, and we connected the purifier to our discussions about how we breathe and why air quality matters. Up next, we'll be exploring ways we can help keep our environment clean, both inside and outside our classroom.

Thank you for making this possible! Your support means the world to us, and we are so grateful for this investment in our students' well-being and learning.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Dye

    Funded Oct 15, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations to help support our classroom. We could not do it without the support of people like you.

One of the activities we used our donation on, from Teachers Pay Teachers was a monthly packet of reading games. This packet not only had papers for the students work on, but it had interactive games for them as well.

We used these lessons and games to help every student learn their letters and sounds. Our students were able to experience hands on experiences thanks to your donations.”

  • Basic Supplies Needed for Fantastic Kids!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous donations to help support our students and our classroom. We have been able to use to cardstock to help make many fun and engaging reading and math centers. The number line is used daily as a reference by our students.

One of items that has been been really useful this time of year, has been the Kleenex. With so many colds going around, it is nice to have soft tissues on their little noses. It is a bonus, that these tissues also have a viral control property, which has helped keep the spread of colds down in our classroom.”

  • A Place for Everyone

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you for your generous donations to help our classroom get a carpet. The moment the students saw the carpet, they got very excited and started dancing around. We have used the carpet for many different activities.

Every morning the students come to the carpet and we do our calendar routine and phonics on the carpet. We sing and dance while on the carpet. Many of our centers activities are done while on the carpet. And recently, we have done our taste testing and pumpkin investigation while sitting on our carpet.

This carpet has also given the students a visual of personal space. Each student knows where their spot is at and that they are to stay in their square. This has helped with behavior issues during lessons.

    Thank you again for everything.”

  • Purposeful Play Centers

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous donations to help our project reach it's goal. The students were so excited to get new items for their independent centers, as well as during teacher rotation centers.

One of the students' favorite items is the CVC words Touch and Read Phonics Word Match game. This has been helping students of all abilities, be able to blend sounds together to help with their reading skills. The Touch and Read Phonics Word Match game also has different skill sets, so students can grab their "just right" box.”

  • Cracking the Phonics Code With Secret Stories!

    Funded Sep 21, 2022

Thank you to all of our donors. Thank you for helping bring Secret Stories to our classroom for this year's group and students and beyond.

Secret Stories is a a phonics and reading tool that helps students the reasons why letters get together and make the many different sounds that they do.

By using this tool at the early age of Kindergarten, students are starting to remember that words like joker or fixer, end in -er not - r, because -er and -r make 2 different sounds.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

  • STEM Leads the Way!

    Funded Jul 30, 2022

Thank you for your generous donations to our classroom and our students. They were so excited to open up the box of our new STEM supplies for our classroom.

We have been using the magentic blocks to help the students not only learn their 2D flat shapes, but also to start getting an introduction into 3D shapes as well.

The bingo counters and wands have great math tools have the students do one to one corresponding when counting. We also use them for counting the sounds in a word. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.”

For most of my students, this is the first time they have ever been to school. It is important to make sure the experience they get is a good one, since it will set the mood for school for the rest of their lives. I want them to be excited as I am about being at school and about learning.
