My name is Mrs. Archuleta and I am an energetic early childhood special education teacher. I love my job and the amazing students I interact with daily. I spend my week with 35 of the most amazing little people in the world.
Two-thirds of my students have disabilities ranging from moderate to severe. Several of them are working on finding a way to increase their ability to communicate. All of them are actively engaged in learning. My goal as a teacher is to provide opportunities for them to further explore their world. It's amazing to see a child finally grasp a new concept and develop their deep love for learning. As a teacher it can be frustrating when the items and tools needed to help my student succeed are not available because of budgetary restrictions.
