Unfortunately we live in the time of "fake news," or as I like to say "unreliable sources" (but that's not as catchy a phrase). Using TIME Edge and Junior Scholastic resources will help students not only be informed about current events, but distinguish between primary and secondary sources. Determining the reliability of sources is a skill that many adults have not mastered. I'm hoping that using relevant and recognized news magazines will help students to determine the source of their information. This will help students make informed decisions and hopefully formulate their own opinions. Eventually, this would mean the end of fake news!
