Kidney Table

Thank you all for your generous donations! My students love their new kidney table. We use it daily in all academic areas. This table make guided reading even more fun each and every day. My students often ask if they can sit at the kidney table to complete partner work throughout the day.

When the kidney table arrived I was overly excited to see my students reactions. The morning they walked in and saw it all you could hear was buzzing about the table. I heard them asking each other what it was, what do we do with it, and saying it looks so cool. When I explained what it was for they couldn't wait for me to call their group to meet at the table.

I am planning on letting students be the leaders in the kidney table during peer tutoring. There are often times throughout the day when my more advanced learners are helping their peers but now I plan on allowing them to sit in the special teacher chair at the kidney table to be the teacher when helping others. It is going to be exciting to see the students blossom and continue to grow throughout the year.”
