I teach third grade in a small rural school in a very close knit community. Many of our students come from middle to low SES lifestyles; however, they work incredibly hard to accomplish great things both in school and within the community. While the faculty, staff, and students that make up our school are top notch our building is very old; it's age is starting to show. We lack necessary maintenance items, such as electrical outlets and working window coverings, that help to make our school efficient and homey.
