  • Sensory Vests to Support Little Bodies!

  • Tools To Promote Neuroinclusive Schooling!

    The light projector creates such a calm and peaceful environment between the visual and auditory experience it creates. The weighted blankets are so great for helping my students to feel their bodies and get the deep pressure input they crave in order to maintain a regulated emotional state.

    They are loving the soft rug and weighted blanket! The bins have helped create and organized work space. The vests are already being used by 2 students who are loving the deep pressure input that the vest allows them to feel throughout the day.

  • Ball Chairs for Bouncy Minds!

    This year my school received ball chairs and seat cushions thanks to all of your donations. The teachers and students were so excited and appreciative of the new equipment! Last year we had one chair that the students would have to share, now we have 4 chairs and 4 cushions!! The students are thrilled.

    The chairs are currently being used by children that are diagnosed with autism. These students are ofetn not engaged in instruction when seated at their desks. Their posture is slumped and often times they can appear to be "spacing out." These students require movement in order to keep their brains alert and their focus in tact. The chairs and cushions that you helped to fund provide their body with this movement. They LOVE THEM!!

    In the same way a cup of coffee is used by many adults to get them through the afternoon, a few bounces on their ball chair is helping students to "perk-up" for their afternoon of learning.”

They are the students who are constantly in trouble for getting out of their seat, not staying in line, touching things they are not supposed to, fidgeting with items inside their desk, etc. They just cannot seem to sit still, or pay attention. This becomes extremely frustrating for their teachers, and eventually these students may unfortunately feel like they just don't belong. They are constantly trying to hold it together even though they may feel like they are falling apart.

About my class

My students are in a special education classroom in a community school.
