  • The Floor is Not Lava

    Funded Aug 13, 2021

I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your incredibly generous donation of the floor seats for my classroom.

Your contribution is more than just a donation; it's a gift that will enhance the learning journey of every student who enters my classroom. The floor seats have already transformed the space, creating a cozy and engaging environment that fosters interactive learning and collaboration. Your support directly impacts the quality of education my students receive, and I am excited to witness the positive impact these seats will have on their learning experience.

I am not only thankful for your financial support but also for believing in the value of education and investing in the futures of our young minds. Your kindness serves as an inspiring example for my students, teaching them the importance of giving back and making a difference.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. D'Abreau

  • Fresh Clean Start

    Funded May 31, 2021

Thank you so much for your generous donations! My students were extremely excited to receive these crucial necessities. They have been using the hand sanitizer on a daily basis. They are so grateful to be able to easily walk in and out of the classroom without having to worry about sanitizing. The stand is located right outside my classroom door and they have free access to it. Students from our after school program also have free access to the hand sanitizer. Some of them stop by my room just to quickly grab some.

This donation has put all of us at ease and we appreciate your contribution! Thank you so much!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. D'Abreau

  • Help! I Have a Lemon Computer!

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

Thank you so much for your generosity! Life has been so much easier with a brand new computer. I am able to flawlessly teach my lessons and definitely not worry about my computer crashing in the middle of a lesson. I have so many things I have to do on a daily basis and knowing I now have a reliable computer helps me be a better teacher. Even my students were so excited to know I had finally received my new Macbook Pro. They noticed how stressed I would get when programs didn't work properly. As the saying goes, "A happy teacher, makes a happy class!"

Once again, thank you for all your support and all your donations!”

  • Stop, Collaborate, and Listen!

    Funded Aug 13, 2019

Thank you so much for your donations! My class was so excited to have a new rug in their classroom. It made it more inviting to sit on the rug, even for "big kids." Before this rug, my fourth graders thought they were too big to sit on a rug since our old rug was sectioned into squares. Once this rug arrived, they didn't feel obligated to sit in specific squares and were more motivated to sit anywhere on the rug.

My goal is to keep this rug in good condition so that I am able to use it for years to come. A classroom rug is important to me because it warmth, comfort and intimacy into the classroom. This is where we have our morning meetings, share ideas, have class discussions, and provides another space for collaboration.

Once again, thank you for your contributions and making this proposal come alive.”

    With gratitude,

  • STACK in a SACK

    Funded Sep 27, 2019

We cannot thank you enough for these useful seat sacks! They are put to use every day because this year I chose to have circular tables so that my students can collaborate more. The circular tables don't have a place to put their materials. The seat sacks allow students to keep their notebooks, work books, and reading books close by and gives them a lot more space to work on assignments.

For the first few months, the kids were frustrated not knowing where to put their things and not having enough space to work with each other. So they were definitely excited when the received the seat sacks!

Thank you you again, for your generous donation!”

    With gratitude,

  • Living in a Tangle-Free and Wireless Classroom

    Funded Dec 19, 2018

Thank you so much for your generous donations. Having a Chromebook charging station has helped my classroom so much this year. Chromebooks are used daily in my classroom because in today's education students are expected to learn through technology. Having access to a charged Chromebook allows my students to practice typing skills, math/reading games or practice researching different topics.

In my classroom, the students have been assigned to one Chromebook and they have learned to easily return it to the slot they borrowed it from. They have also been able to plug in the charger correctly without having to worry about tangled cords. This has given them more time to spend on the computers rather then figuring where the charger goes. The students have loved having the station and has added organization to my classroom.

Your donation will be continuously used in the years to come and I greatly appreciate your donations.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. D'Abreau

  • Differentiating with Chromebooks

    Funded Jan 26, 2018

We are so grateful to have received two brand new Chrome Books. This year my students have learned how to use many new programs such as Google Classroom, Google Docs, and Google Slides in our school's computer lab. The problem has been having access to these program inside our classrooms.

I have been able to create a technology station because now altogether I have 5 working computers/Chrome Books. Each day, 5 students are assigned to them for about 20 minutes. The students are able to work on any of the new programs, practice typing, play new math/coding games, or play on our favorite website called Freckle Education. Having access to this technology is so beneficial because it reinforces their learning and promotes furthering their technological skills.

The best part about having Chrome Books is the students can just take it to their desk or sit near a friend for support. They feel independent and so sophisticated.

Thank you again for making such an impact in my students' lives!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. D'Abreau

  • Making Learning FUN!!

    Funded Jan 25, 2018

From the moment our package arrived, the students couldn't wait to open every single item that was donated to us. They had enormous smiles on their faces and were so eager to get started!

I introduced each math and Language Arts game to them. I grouped similar games together and made mini stations. They spent about 10 minutes at each station and then rotated. As they worked on the games, they collaborated, challenged each other, and asked me for clarification on some of the games.

Now, every morning, the students have the opportunity to work on any of the games. I leave it open to them to select which games they want to work on. This way they feel responsible for their learning and take initiated of their learning. My favorite part has been seeing the students who disfavor math, finding joy out of playing some of the math games that were purchased such as Pop to Win!

Once again, thank you so much for your generous donation! I will definitely be using this for the many years to come.”

    Mrs. D'Abreau

Currently, my students only have access to a computer once a week for forty-five minutes. During that time, they are learning basic computer skills. With these two HP Chromebooks, my students will have access to them on a daily basis. They will have scheduled times to work on math facts, do some research, play on designated learning websites, and even practice computerized test taking skills. With your donation, these Chromebooks will enhance my small group instruction. There are so many new exciting websites to try that make it difficult when there is still a lack of technology in the classrooms. I look forward to incorporating these Chromebooks into our daily routine!
