  • Snacks for Success!

    Funded Jan 25, 2023

The joy and excitement among our third graders is largely due to our Amazon delivery surprise! We had 9 large boxes arrive while students were in specials, so I worked quickly to unbox everything so it was ready for their return which was perfect timing.... it was snack time! It was like Christmas morning when students walked in. They couldn't believe their eyes! Students were thrilled to be able to pick out their favorite snack today! Thank you for helping to fill their bellies with their favorite snacks!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Conahey

  • Keeping Warm All Winter Long

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Our students are ready for winter! Thanks to your generosity, students in grades 2 through 4 were able to receive items they needed! Students were elated when they found out they could get hats, gloves, and/or scarves! They took only what they needed which allowed us to reach more students than we initially thought! They could not wait to wear the new items, they made a point to stop by the next day to show off their new winter apparel. Students now are equipped with the items needed to stay warm this winter.

Thank you for helping to make this possible! Your generosity is appreciated!”

  • Supplies for Success!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Student go through supplies pretty quickly, especially when we are doing hands on work in the classroom. Unfortunately, funds are not easily available to keep our classrooms fully stocked with the things that we need due to budget cuts. Thanks to your generosity, my 3rd graders have supplies that we were running out of and in some cases, already out of. Students now have their own individual supplies, which gives them the sense of ownership and responsibility. They do not have to share and take turns, which has it benefits but when you are working with a limited amount of time it helps for students to have their own supplies.

Thank you for choosing our classroom to help, we are always very appreciative of our wonderful donors!”

  • Print, Copy, & Scan!

    Funded Sep 1, 2022

Thank you so much for helping our class get a printer, scanner and copier! It has made research projects so much easier! Students are able to send their research to a printer right in our classroom, and immediately get to work highlighting and obtaining the information they need. It has also come in handy when a student forgets or loses something from their project, I can print it out immediately instead of having to wait until students are at specials. This has provided easy access to research!

The copier portion has also been extremely useful for students. It allows us to make copies of their writing so multiple students are able to proofread it and mark it, without having to edit on the original writing piece. This makes it easier for a student to see the different changes that need to be made.

Your generosity is greatly appreciated! Thank you for choosing our classroom to support!”

  • Success With a Dry Erase Table!

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

The dry erase white board table is a huge success! My students love being able to write and draw right on the table! Not only is it fun, but helps to eliminate any paper waste! Supplies are limited as it is, so being able to limit the amount of paper we use but still getting students to write is amazing.

We love using the table during small group learning, where students work to enhance the skills they are working on in class or where they need a little boost.

Thank you for helping my students in their success!”

    With gratitude,

  • We Are on Fire!

    Funded Apr 7, 2022

To say my students were thrilled would be an understatement! We were so excited when our Amazon box arrived with our new tablets! My students enjoy reading books on the tablets, playing reading games, and games that help them with their addition and subtraction fluency. Tablets in the classroom have been a game changer, students take turns listening to stories which helps build their reading fluency and comprehension which in turns creates better readers.

I can not thank you enough for how you have helped my students in their success. We greatly appreciate your help!”

  • Let's Connect!

    Funded Nov 30, 2021

To say my students were elated to receive the new STEM items would be an understatement. They look forward to Fridays when we pull out the STEM cart. My students love to problem solve and create different things. They have great imaginations! They love to work with their peers to manipulate the materials to build castles, bridges, cars, and so much more!

The hydro sand is extremely popular, so we rotate stations to allow ever student the opportunity to explore.

Thank you for giving my students an opportunity to use and explore STEM materials to help expand their minds!”

  • Accessible Technology for All

    Funded Nov 18, 2021

What a difference it has made for each student to have their own sets of headphones and a mouse! Students were beyond excited to have a box reveal with our materials arrived! They were very grateful for your generosity!

Students are able to hear stories or phonics activities without the interference of another students computer. This allows them to focus on their work and creates less confusion.

The mice have been a fine motor dream. Students struggle to use the touch pads on the Chromebooks, even many adults do too! The mice allow students to better manipulate through their audiobooks and activities.

Thank you for choosing our classroom to bless. We are beyond grateful!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Conahey

  • A Bigger & Better Library

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Building the love of reading can sometimes be a difficult task in the age of technology. Its important when students are learning to read that they are excited and eager to learn. Having a space in our classroom where students can read on their own, even just through pictures, is important.

We have an very organized library in our classroom, organized by topics for students to find a book that they find interesting. They were in need of a place to sit and read their books as well as a place to display books to capture their attention. Thanks to our donors, we were able to accomplish both!

The library is one of our students favorite places to be when they finish their work. They love to read through new books and share their knowledge with their peers. We try to update our display of books monthly to showcase new books. Students get excited to see what is on display!

Thank you for helping us to build the joy of reading in our classroom! Happy Reading!”

  • White Board Resources for Virtual Learning

    Funded Aug 31, 2020

Thank you, thank you, thank you! This white board and white board accessories were a major asset this school year. We were virtual until the end of March and what a year it was! Having the white board and accessories at home allowed me to hang important charts through the day, model writing, and use manipulatives as necessary. Returning on site, I was still able to utilize these materials!

Thank you for making this challenging year a little bit easier! Your donations were a major helpful and stress relief!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Conahey

My students come from a high-poverty low-income community. They live in the poorest county of NJ. Some of my students' parents work 2-3 jobs to take care of the bare necessities of everyday life. While their parents want the very best for them, the extra things in life may not be able to be provided. About 75% of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch and cannot readily afford materials to help enhance their education. My students have faced many challenges in their young lives where school tends to be their only constant. We want to make their school life as enriching and fulfilling as possible.
