Stand and Deliver
Funded Jan 16, 2025Thank you for donating to the project and helping me open up mathematics for these high school algebra students. The wonder and excitement I’ve seen on my students’ faces using this alternative modality has been incredible, and these resources will be used to further help them explore math without fear.”

Presentation Project Paraphernalia!
Funded Dec 23, 2022Thank you for your generous support. The tools you have funded will give my students resources to help them develop important soft skills and demonstrate proficiency with learning standards in rich, practical ways. Entrepreneurship Extravaganza!
Funded May 3, 2022Your generous support of my classroom has helped students develop skills that will help them in the workplace after they graduate.
Students were excited to receive all the materials. Some helped set up the garment rack. They enjoy using it to show off the shirts they work so hard to create. Some students struggled folding shirts, and greatly appreciated the plastic folders to help them get the job done well. The keyed alike locks have given several of them a great sense of responsibility and autonomy. They are no longer confused by which key opens which lockers and are increasingly capable of managing inventory on their own.”

This classroom project was brought to life by SONIC Drive-In and 3 other donors.Flash Card Corner & Foldable Fun
Funded Mar 25, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donations. The flash cards of various sizes and colors are helping my visual learners make the cognitive connections necessary to remember the details of our Algebra topics. Some students appreciate the colored pencils to color code their definitions and drawings, while others really like using the hole punch to keep the flash cards organized by topic.
The materials for foldables are helping them with a hands-on medium for interacting with their math notes. As we tackle some more advanced statistics topics, these resources will help them prepare for the future.”

Funded Dec 25, 2021These books are such a wonderful addition to our classroom! The students really enjoy the practical skills they are learning as we read through the book. The students have been challenged by jigsaw activities, where each student reads about a specific topic then shares out with the rest of the class what their key takeaways are. This activity is great at helping them develop literacy skills and communication skills while they also work on their executive functioning skills as they plan how to summarize the paragraph(s) for the class.
Having the prompts from the workbook is also amazing, because it helps the students connect the material with their own lives. Perhaps what I've found most amazing is hearing student's responses to the author's examples from other teens he's interviewed. The students get a sense that they are not alone with these struggles, and that this author might really "get" them.”

Mr. C.
We Don't Have That...Yet!
Funded Apr 5, 2019Thank you for your generous contributions to our program! The students are excited to use the new materials. The folders and organizer will support them as they accept and fill order for copies. The extra ink for the printer will allow them to make many more copies for the teachers in the building. The easy-press staplers will help the students fine and gross motor control limitations be able to participate, while he stapleless staplers will help us reduce costs and waste by not using staples for just a few sheets of paper.
They are always asking me if we have more copies to make, and thanks to your donations we will have the supplies to make many more copies.”
With gratitude,
Mr. C.
Copy That!
Funded Jan 31, 2019Thank you for helping support my students develop functional life skills. The students use the copier that you helped us purchase to make copies for teachers throughout the building. Students are learning how to use the copy machine and troubleshoot simple problems. They are gaining in confidence and understanding.
My students are excited to be providing a service to the school community. They are especially excited to feel that they are taking part in something larger than themselves.
Students are eager to make copies and learn how to use the technology. It's great to see them eager to learn something new and constantly self-assessing to make sure that they aren't making mistakes.”
With gratitude,
Mr. C.
