Kleen Noses Know Best!
Funded Aug 14, 2022Your donation toward our clean noses project sure has made a big impact on our return to school. With all of our gems mixing together and allergy season in full swing we have a lot of runny noses. Our anti viral Kleenex and Lysol wipes are helping us stay clean and healthy. We even have enough to last us though cold and flu season! We can't thank you enough for your donation. Something that may seem small to others sure has made a big difference in our class environment. Your generous donation and thoughtfulness are very much appreciated. Now we can blow our noses in comfort and clean our areas to avoid the spread of germs!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. J. Beth Brown

Funded Aug 10, 2022Thank you very much for your generous donation toward our cushioned chairs. We are off to to a great start because we are able to sit in small groups to collaborate with each other We can even move around the class. These light-weight chairs make it easy for us to pick-up and move to another group for collaboration. Having these chairs will make a huge difference with the communication within our classroom. Before we had these comfy chairs we were "stuck" in our hard desks. Thanks for helping us move and learn!”

Funded Jul 20, 2022Thank you very much for your generous donation toward our cushioned chairs. It is just the beginning of the year and they are already making a difference for my students in the classroom. We are able to sit in small groups to collaborate with each other and we're even able to move around the class. These light-weight chairs make it easy for us to pick-up and move to another group. Having these chairs will greatly impact the communication within our classroom. Before we had mobile chairs we were "stuck" in desks. Thanks for helping us move and learn!”

Hear Ye, Hear Ye!
Funded Dec 4, 2020Thank you very much for our earphones! They have really come in handy during our virtual lessons. We are now able to hear our video lessons and focus on the topic being discussed. We no longer have to struggle with low audio or broken pieces! We are not having to unplug and put our ears close to the speakers. These comfortable earphones are a game changer in our classroom. No sore ears for us anymore! Your generosity is truly heartfelt! You've made us very happy and eager to learn our virtual lessons! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

Funded Dec 6, 2019These books are changing the way my students look at their assignments. We are currently working on a unit called "The Louisiana Purchase". This unit discusses the exploration of the Louisiana Territory by Lewis and Clark. While learning about their journey, we discussed how Sacajawea helped to guide them along the way. They were having trouble understanding the events and the actions of the people. Our new books helped with that! We found a book in the Who Was/ Who Were series entitled, "Who was Sacajawea". The book helped the students understand who she was and what impact she made on Lewis and Clark's expedition.
We've also found books that identify people who have made an impact on Louisiana's culture, such as Louis Armstrong. Having these books brings the information they are learning to "life". They've made such a difference my classroom. I now have students waiting in line to read a book on a particular person or topic.
The books aren't the only thing helping our reading. The bands and balls have really allowed students the flexibility to move while learning. My "wiggle worms" are no longer distracted during lessons. They are calling out during discussions, leading partner groups, and are bouncing into class each day ready to see what they're going to learn.
Words can not express how grateful my students and I are for your generosity! Thank you for breathing new life into my reading classroom.
