When I first started teaching, I used an aphorism from Gandhi to inspire me: "You must be the change you want to see in the world." I have asked my students to recognize and understand this phrase in terms of their own life as well. However, as I work through Donors Choose I recognize the true value of this sentiment as an entire community displays a sustained investment in change for the better. Your generosity continues to inspire me.
